Darn Tough VermontWomen Merino Wool Micro Crew Socks Cushion

I bought these socks as a gift for family/friend sand they love them. They say they're warm, very comfortable, and very durable. My family loves the design of these too. I do think they're a little expensive but certainly worth it if they're good for life.

When I first started buying Darn Tough brand socks, there was a short period of "sticker shock". I went from paying $20 for a package of 6+ socks to paying $20 per pair. And yeah, the price keeps going up. But here's the thing...these socks are super comfy. They come in all sorts of fun colors, the fabric is wool and will keep you warm in the winter but cool in the summer. I've worn these hiking in snow and at amusement parks in the summer heat. One might care about the color combinations, but have you seen typical kids "these days"? They're wearing mis-match socks anyways. I've gotten compliments on these socks. I have at least a dozen pairs. This pair is one of the newer-to-me designs. They're on the thicker side and I love the cushion. Perhaps I've become a sock snob, but there's a good reason. If these wear down, get a snag, etc...you contact customer service. Send them back to the company and they'll give you credit for a new pair. And, well, I know there are people out there who can buy just one pair, but that's not me. I check my socks a few times a year for "wear and tear" but I think it's been a good 2 years since I've sent them back. These are actually the socks I happen to be wearing today! So, after about 50 washes (cuz I love them and wear them all the time), this is what they still look like. I bought these just under a year ago. The "bunching up" at the bottom of one picture is because I just pulled off my shoe and did a point/flex pose for the 2 pictures. For those that haven't fallen for Darn Tough yet, another reason why I like them so much is that there is no seam at the toes, thus they don't rub against the shoes. My hubby was having an issue where the fabric "pilled" and the Internet said to wash them inside out. That seems to have done away with the problem. Enjoy!

Important to note: If I got these as a gift, I would be over the moon. If I could give the more stars, I totally would.Don’t let the price scare you off, it’s more than worth it. Darn Tough socks are perfect; they certainly live up to their name. I initially bought this style for backpacking 13+ years ago, but they immediately became my favorite, so I choose to wear them all of the time. My older pairs are still going strong; I just really wanted this color. Overall, these socks are thick and cozy (but not bulky), they stay in place, keep their shape, AND my feet don’t sweat. Also, they’re cute. You won’t regret these socks unless you are a grumpy troll.

I love Darn Good socks. These and my Bombas are go-to for hiking and even daily wear. Durable and comfortable.

Darn Tough socks are fantastic. I love that they have wool in them; the natural fiber keeps them from being too hot or too cold. The nylon and spandex make them durable and fit well. Plus they go through the washer and dryer with no shrinkage to speak of. Another great feature is that I can buy them by SIZE. I have fairly small feet, and with other socks, I usually end up with the heel around my ankle. I buy these in size small, and they fit perfectly. I especially like the Micro Crew style; they're a tad shorter than lots of socks, but still long enough to sit up above the top of my hiking boots. They are super comfy to walk in, all day if necessary. I love the cushioned bottoms. Not only do they add to the comfort, they also add durability. Also, there's no bulky seam down above the toes; somehow they knit that seam in so that I can't feel it at all. I would recommend these socks to anyone. I'm very picky about the socks I wear, and these are the best I've ever tried.

I was hesitant to spend so much on a pair of socks. I went on week long hiking trip and walked 10-14 miles a day and was very worried about getting blisters. These socks were perfect, my feet were not hot and no blisters.

It's a good choice, I'm hiking a lot and was looking for durable socks. Still have to see how they will hold up over time

These socks are expensive, but worth every single penny. They are soft and very comfortable. The fit is perfect. They made my feet slightly warm, but I live in Arizona so everything is always slightly warm! Truly, these are THE most comfortable socks I've ever worn, and I've been hiking leisurely for almost 30 years (i.e., no intense lengthy hiking expeditions). I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

I wear a size 9.5 men's sneaker and size 8 boot. This size fits perfectly. Darn tough is just a really good quality sock. Lifetime warranty helps too. I know they tend to be expensive for a sock but it worth every penny.

I’m a huge fan of merino wool DARN TOUGH socks and have been wearing this brand for over a decade! They really are “darn tough” and when they’ve developed holes - this after wearing them 5 to 7 years - I’ve simply mailed them back and gotten a new pair. GUARANTEED!

They fit well, are cushioned but still thin so I can wear them with any footwear. Warm in the winter. I'm sorry I didn't discover these years ago.

I started wearing Darn Tough Socks three years ago…. Never in my life did I think I would be willing to pay $20 plus for a pair of socks- but they were recommended to me…. I was told by someone I trusted that they would work for wearing in my work and barn boots…. That I would not be disappointed! A truer statement has never been said! I LOVE THEM!!!! After wearing my first two pair for 3 months and really trying to not like them and not reach for them first, I couldn’t- I would even hand wash them sometimes just so I could wear them…. I bit the bullet and bought enough for every day! Try them, they stay up on your leg, they don’t ride down in the boot, they never make your feet sweat and my feet don’t get stinky! A must have in every wardrobe!I was so happy with mine…. I bought enough for my husband every day too! And his feet don’t stink! A MIRACLE!

These are absolutely the best socks I've every owned! Wonderfully cushioned sole that makes you feel like you're walking on air. Your feet stay the perfect temperature - never too hot and never too cold. I spent four hours working outside one chilly day and I felt like I was walking on a cloud even though I was wearing heavy steel toed boots. Expensive socks but they are worth every penny! Definitely going to get a couple more pairs of these and throw out my old socks.
