Beautiful studio sized easel
I bought this as a gift for my husband, who is a professional artist. He is just about to move into a barn that we have converted into a studio, and I thought it would be nice to have a really good easel.I did a lot of research into what was available and decided this was good value. It looks very nice, like a piece of furniture, really (it's a shame it will soon be covered in paint!) Assembly is fairly straightforward, as long as you follow the instructions (so I supervised. I have come to the conclusion that artists aren't very good at that sort of thing!) And it will take huge canvasses. All in all I think it's a good buy.

I genuinely love this easel
Pros- easy to put together- well packaged- seems to be pretty sturdy- the 4 wheels is better than the 2 on the other cheaper version of this easelCons- there's only one bit where the frame isn't too aligned, but it works without any issues that I've seen so far. Just unpleasant to look at- larger than you might thinkI have bought both versions of the VISWIN H frame easel, the two you can have a reference or a smaller painting on the tops. Out of both of them. They both have their pros and cons. This one is much sturdier. Much easier to move about with 4 wheels. It's considerably better for taller paintings as it gets massive but is pretty well supported. For the price point it's in, I genuinely can't fault it. I'm not sure on longevity over the decades but for now it's really doing it's job well.I will say that this one seems to have an issue if you're sat down and doing a small painting. You need to extend it out, which if you have a low ceiling you might struggle to get it into a good position. All my ceilings are pretty high for a house though so I don't have issues.I would have given it 5 stars had the rising issue and the error in production hadn't have happened. I did get it for a pretty reasonable price though in a sale. I can't complain too much!
