The best book for dealing with anxiety in a biblical way.
I absolutely love Bonnie grey and each and every book she has written. Starting with spiritual white space, whispers of rest devotional, sweet like jasmine and then her new book breathe. I have been a part of her bible studies and she has given so much support each step of the way. I can’t even begin to tell about a the healing that has taken place since the first time I picked up whispers of rest in 2017. Breathe really focuses in on how to use breathing exercises as prayers to calm your spirit. I am so blessed to know Bonnie and call her my friend and sister in Christ. I also want to add that I had to buy whispers of rest again because my other copy wore out! I just haven’t been able to find another devotional like it anywhere. I would recommend this to anyone and I have also bought several copies for family and friends.

Just breathe, because this book is so much more than that.
Bonnie Gray's latest book is "Breathe: 21 Days to Stress Less and Transform Chaos to Calm.""Breathe" addresses topics such as dealing with anxiety and stress, worry, self-criticism, toxic relationships, and many others in the same vein. She does not simply instruct or lecture on these topics; rather, she addresses each one with the wisdom of her own personal experience in dealing with--and overcoming--anxiety and panic attacks.From the very beginning of the book, I strongly identified with Gray's comments about dealing with stress, especially in light of the recent global pandemic and in the midst of real life as a Christian woman, wife, mother, and military spouse (although to be honest, I think while she tends to address women in her text, the topics and treatments are good for anyone, regardless of gender or parenthood status). In other words, apparently I needed this book more than I thought I would when I preordered it.I will be working through this book more closely in the weeks ahead, since it appears that life won't be slowing down anytime soon!Each chapter includes:*a breath prayer*a soul care challenge and tip*questions for thought and/or journalingBecause I often feel as if I'm not worthy of self-care, this book spoke to me in an immediately relevant way. I will without a doubt recommend this book to friends.

Pull Up a Chair
Are you feeling stressed or anxious dealing with the chaos and confusion in every day life? Then Breathe: 21 Days to Stress Less and Transform Chaos to Calm is the book is for you. There are numerous tips on how to deal with stress and anxiety when your life or a day gets out of control. Bonnie presents practical tips based on science but married with scripture. Each chapter contains words or short phrases that are to be prayed as you sit and deeply breathe. There are also practical Soul Care suggestions as well and questions that invite you to Pull Up a Chair as you sit and ponder your answers.Breathe is filled with encouragement for how to get back to calm and belongs as a reference on everyone's desk, especially in this chaotic world. Well done, Bonnie.

Scriptural mindfulness
I discovered Bonnie Gray several years ago when I read her book, Finding Spiritual White Space. I've been following her since. This is her fourth book. In Breathe, Bonnie brings together all that she's learned in one place as she teaches you to breathe in truth, breath out prayer and put into action practical suggestions to calm anxiety and focus on things that bring joy and rest into one's soul. In the 21 chapters, she touches on emotional, physical, spiritual and social wellness. Her free Soul Care quiz helps you set priorities for your personal wellness. So it's easy to jump to the section that most needs healing in your life. One of my favorite breath prayers is breathing in: When I pass through the waters. Then breathing out: You will be with me. Based on Isaiah 43:3. Anyone looking to incorporate scripture and practical tools to reduce and hopefully eliminate stress will find Breathe a great biblical resource.

Finding rest
Bonnie's books have been a big part of my life for several years now. Her newest book "Breathe" is another blessing, as she helps guide us in finding rest for our souls and practical guidance for putting these things to practice in our daily lives! She shares personal lessons, related scriptures and then practical tips for applying it for soul care. I appreciate the different areas: physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellness. She also gives a soul care quiz to find the area you need the most. We need them all! Bonnie doesn't just put out books, she provides loving care to her readers, offering online studies and zoom lessons. I recommend this book and all her others too! Thank you Bonnie.

I have thoroughly enjoyed each of Bonnie’s books. I so appreciate how vulnerably she shares her heart and her story, and invites us to join her.In her newest book, Breathe, she shares such beautiful, hard-earned wisdom with such sweet grace. Life Giving Biblical Mindfulness!
I came across Bonnie Gray through Proverbs 31 Ministries at a perfect time. I’ve been overwhelmed with life and therefore anxiety exasperated recently. I ordered this book and was added to Bonnie’s book club which has been such a blessing! I love Bonnie’s focus on soul care, nurture, finding joy, and God’s love for us and how He delights in us. It’s also all connected to science and how our brains are wired. This book has helped me so much, it’s been comforting for my soul, it really has been God sent!(P.s.Family amazon account under my husband’s name)

Breathe in Truth
I love Bonnie's writings! She is so real and reading her books is like having a close friend over for coffee. I have read all of her books and each one enables me to feel the love and presence of Jesus like no other. She gives you permission to do much needed self-care (soul-care), especially for those of us who have grown up in traumatic homes. Too often as Christian women we put ourselves last thinking we are being godly when actually we fall into Satan's trap of always giving until we become burnt out and useless for anything. The extra special thing about this book are the breath prayers that give you an instant go to to help relieve stress and at the same time download needed truth into your heart. I find myself incorporating all kinds of Scripture into my breath prayers now. It's a perfect way to meditate on God's Word! Congratulations Bonnie, you have done it again! Another wonderful book I will treasure for years to come!

Breathe stands up to it’s cover image— relaxing, refreshing, and rejuvenating. Bonnie Gray’s words of encouragement are grounded in scripture, showing us how we are created to live with less worry and more joy. This is Bonnie’s fourth book that continues the theme of exploring our own stories, and living out our lives with God’s peace. It’s a book I’d recommend to always have close to you, so you can breathe in truth and breathe out prayer, practicing soul care daily.
