Got a boppy at my shower, but I couldn't really tell why it was better than any other pillow during my first few days of breastfeeding.. The boppy kept sliding off me, especially with my postpartum belly still in the way. Then I tried one of these at my lactation consultant appointment, and wow, what a difference. The snaps to keep it on feel ridiculous until you try it. The back support is lovely. I used it a ton in week 2 and 3. I'm getting better and don't always use it now, but it's amazing anytime baby is too fussy to hold a latch or I'm sitting at the table instead of the couch.

While functionally this works very well, I was very disappointed by the quality of the material. The foam inside had a funny smell and came with yellow spots. I had to air it out before being able to use it. Also, after one wash the cover already started to fade and looked as though it had been washed 50 times. It definitely helps with breastfeeding, making everything simpler. However the cost for the material itself is more than it is worth.

We originally received a Boppy for nursing from our registry based on feedback from friends and fellow parents. However, a week into parenthood, a visit to a lactation consultant allowed us the opportunity to use the My Brest Friend pillow. Immediately, my wife noted how much more comfortable it was compared to the Boppy. Also, it promoted a better nursing position which was a reason baby wasn’t latching well.As a Dad, I’ve now used both to hold baby and bottle feed. I have to say the Brest Friend pillow hands down beats the Boppy. The Boppy doesn’t fit around my waist and constantly slide out and away from me. The belt system of this pillow solves that problem. Also, I have a size 36 waist and have no problem attaching the belt.We have not washed the slip cover yet so I cannot attest to it it will fade as others have pointed out. When we do, if this is the case, I’ll update this review and deduct a star.

This is much better than a traditional c shaped pillow, but definitely not for bigger girls. The back support doesn’t always line up and the safety belt always slips. This fabric faded on the first wash badly, but didn’t ravel.

We love this item. Mine came with a plastic clip and not velcro. Once in a while it would unsnap because I did not snap it correctly. It’s made breast feeding a lot more comfortable because our son does not roll near my stomach anymore. The fun pattern is a nice touch as is the pocket which allows meto store small items like lip balm, nail clippers and a nail file. The cover lost a bit of color when I washed it, but to me that is minor. I love it!

Bought to replace a u-shaped pillow because the baby kept falling into the fall between my body and the pillow and I was getting shoulder pain from hunching over as the baby and pillow slid forward - this solved both. Very thoughtfully designed with bumps on each side door the baby's head. I only wish there were a pillowcase that were cotton with plastic lining. The purely plastic case seems uncomfortable and hot, but the cotton case doesn't prevent blowouts and spilled milk from getting on the underlying foam.

So glad I bought this! My posture changed immediately when using this pillow. When you already have a bad back nursing can make it worse. This pillow prevents me from slouching forward too far. My older kids also love using it for extra support when holding their baby brother.

Love it! What a life saver. Been using a boppy for nursing but this product is soooo much better. It supports my back and my daughter doesn't fall through the space between me and the product like she does with the boppy. Also, the surface is wide enough so she can lay comfortably. Would highly recommend!

Holding up great. Positions better than our boppy so definitely our go-to pillow. I didn't like how our baby slid down on the boppy. This was the better option. Cover washes well. Love the back support, especially in the early days when you're trying to fuss with latching and are bending over more to ensure correct positioning.

Best pillow ever!! Been using this for a few months. Highly recommend over all the other nursing pillows! This really made it so much easier and helped my back not be so hunched over.

I bought a nippy first but I hated the gap it left between the pillow and my body. My location consultant has one of these in her office and after using it I was hooked. Much firmer, no gap, flat surface, and the back support is nice.

The only reason I bought this was because my lactation consultant had one and I loved it! It worked great for me while breastfeeding. When I got mine I went to put it on and it ripped.. I didn’t even pull it hard. The material isn’t great and the foam in the pillow has yellow spots on it and smells weird. Not really ideal for breastfeeding if milk gets on the pillow.

I wasn’t a fan but it is very very well made. The back back just drove me crazy. But other then that it’s great. It was great for my newborn and feeding. It’s pretty stiff which has its plus and minuses.

I like this way better than the boppy pillow. Super nice to be able to move around and not have to worry about it. Baby feels very supported and the pillow isn’t going anywhere. My doula recommended this over the boppy and I am so happy I took her advice.
