When Used with an Irrigation System, It Is Very Effective, Even in a Swamp
Many reviewers use this product differently. This review is for the "All-in" approach of using the concentrate regularly with the companion hardware, known as the Sprinkler Magician. The concentrate and system regularly covers our entire lawn (1 to 2 times per week) by injecting the concentrate into the irrigation system zones and running each zone for a few minutes. It is very effective against mosquitos and noseeums in Southwest Florida, aka the Swamp.Prior to the Sprinkler Magician / Mosquito Magician system, we had tried one of the equally comprehensive Misting Systems that spray a mist of Pyrethrins around the yard. It did kill bugs when applied on a very still (no wind) day, but they would come back - sometimes as quickly as 15 minutes. We had the system removed at the end of 30 days because it was not providing good results, was very expensive, and we were concerned about health effects of the Pyrethrins after reading more about them.Sprinkler Magician is also expensive, but less. In the Swamp, it's worth the cost. After two weeks, mosquitos were noticeably decreased. By month of twice per week irrigations with Mosquito Magician, mosquitos were not a problem anymore and we scaled back to once-a-week applications. It has worked well for over a year. Noseeums are a little tougher. They are reduced, but when conditions are ripe for noseeums and we want to enjoy the yard in the evening, we manually trigger an irrigation before going outside. It's effective about 2/3's of the time. 1/3 of the time, we'd need to also apply repellant or go back inside. The smell of the product is nice. Friends and neighbors like it, too. Seems much safer than the Pyrethrins.

It actually works!
I was using professional companies for spraying in my front and backyard for several years. The results were not always great, apart from their costs. As I lived in Houston, there were tons of mosquitoes nearly all year around. I was half giving up my battle against mosquitos. In Summer 2022, things changed. I tried Mosquito Magician the first time. I bought a sprayer at the same time. It's very simple and easy steps to apply this product over my yard, bushes, and periphery of my house. The result was - to my surprise, it was so effective. Since then, Mosquito Magician has become a must in my household. At peak time in late Spring to Fall, I spray it roughly every 1.5~2weeks. The scent of garlic was strong for a day or two after its application, but it's not bad compared to chemical spraying agents. My dog does not seem to be bothered. Whole my family is happy to be out on the patio now. An added bonus is I am saving 75~80 of money which I used to pay to the professional pest control company.

Not cheap
I used it a half dozen times this last season. We did get a lot of rain, but I’d hoped it would be more effective. We had plenty mosquitos even after using this. It has a pretty strong garlic odor. At over $100/gal, I’d like it to be more effective, and keep mosquitos away for at least a few days. You use 6oz product to make 1gal of spray. That should mean 21 gallons of spray for that 1 gal of product. I use 3-4 gallons each application.

Absolutely no effect on Florida bugs.
Really had high hopes for this product. Tried it several times making the mixture as recommended and trying it stronger. Spraying it thick all around the backyard and spraying it thick just trying to keep them out of my garage. Noticed absolutely no difference in mosquito activity or the no see em’s. No difference in any bug activity. I realize the force is strong with bugs in Florida, but I was hoping for something. The only thing I did notice is it had a negative effect on several of my smaller plants that got spray on them. Really upset I missed the return window for this product. I like what your trying to do with all natural oils, but it had zero effect at all in my yard.

Works, but it's costly
First off, this stuff does do the job! I applied it on Friday, it thunder stormed thru the weekend, and Monday i still have no mosquitoes. It's nice to use a product that won't expose my pets, garden, and child to harsh chemicals. I used more than the recommended concentration and the yard did have the smell of garlic and pine afterwards. I'd rather smell garlic in the air than be eaten alive by flying parasites. It didn't bother me, but it drove my wife crazy (who doesn't like the smell of garlic???) These are my reasons for not giving 5 stars; Application of this product is short term, temporary, and costly. the rain will eventually wash this stuff away, you may get 2 weeks as advertised under a best case scenario. i used 3/4 of the bottle on my yard, at $100 a bottle, it would be costly to keep this up thru the summer. i would happily pay $30 a bottle for this product. With that being said, i will most likely buy 1 more bottle to keep around just to use for outdoor gatherings like before a cookout, but this is too costly to use continuously on a 9500 square foot yard.
