VOBOT Smart Alarm Clock with Amazon Alexa/Manage Schedule/Radio Clock/Snooze&Nap Function/Timer/Stable with WIFI/LED Dot- Matrix Display

I have been using the Vobot Alarm Clock for a couple of weeks now and very impressed. I have a few 'features' I would like to see added which I will explain at the end.The contents of the box are: Vobot Smart Alarm Clock; Welcome Guide; USB Charging lead. Just take note this does not include a charger so if you do not have a USB charger (5V / 1.5-2A), you will need to purchase one separately.The Vobot is very easy to set up, details provided in the Welcome Guide. I took my Vobot on holiday and set it up on a local WiFi repeater very easily. Remember to setup your location on the App to ensure you get local stations and information. If you take your Vobot away you can decide whether to keep the same location or setup a new location for where you are staying, Most important to change location if you have taken the Vobot abroad as you need to set to the local time.In use there are a number of settings for the display, I have set mine for Auto brightness and to display Time and Battery options. Note that Battery only appears onscreen when the Vobot is fully charged or very low on charge. Setting of alarms and times is by using Amazon's Alexa. With the Vobot you do not need a wake word, just tap the button on top of your Vobot and then tell it the alarm you want, eg 'Set alarm for 6:00am tomorrow'. To snooze your alarm you may tap the button and say 'snooze' or turn clock to face downwards until Vobot changes to snooze. to stop alarm tap button and say 'stop' or fully cover clock face with you palm until alarm is cancelled.This is a great little device and a nice addition to your Alexa setup as this device has a battery backup so you can take this around the home with you and have access to Alexa servces everywhere.Things I like, battery making the Vobot portable, clock display, ease of use, multiple alarms / timers.Things needing improvement:- Battery, would prefer a permanent display of battery charge,- Alarms, although you can have multiple alarms you cannot have a different sound or edit the sound for each alarm ie have one alarm Chiming bells, second alarrn BBC Radio 2,- Button, the touch button on top of Vobot could be larger,- App, this App is ok but needs a tidier interface and a be consistent in it's interfaces,- Power button, the Volume Up and Power On/Off are the same button, unfortunately every time I hold the button to turn Vobot off the volume goes up one level.This Smart Alarm Clock is recommended by myself, it is really much more than just an alarm clock when you take into account all of the Amazon Alexa services.

So it took me a grand total of 5 minutes from opening it to having it running and connected to Alexa services. Seems a nice little thing, and a bargain at the price on the lightning deal. The speaker doesn't seem quite as good as a dot, even if it's rated to be louder. It seems like you are meant to put your whole hand over the button at the top, rather than press it with your finger.An interesting alternative to a dot, and since I bought it as a bedside clock/radio, it looks like it'll do the job nicely.There is a bit of a flicker on the display that i've noticed, and I hope it's not annoying at night

This is far more than a clock alarm in the right hands, semi voice controlled you need to touch the sensor on top and then talk however, this is nice as it is not always listening and popping up like Alexa can. The sleeping are cute, the setting time, the wife etc all a piece of cake .. I know my Alexa does most things like it but the visiual clock for an elderly parent is far better it. I would recommend this for elderly parents , grandparents etc.. as they would prefer a clock .. or a watch..Quality of sound is quite nice, low bass which again a bonus for elderly.. it is also small , thus takes up little space on a cabinet.

Works exactly like an Echo device except for wake up is via a button rather than voice. I had mine set to show day, date, time, weather and temperature (fed from the internet - not internal.) Auto dimming at night, perfect alarm clock with buzzer or internet radio. Much cheaper than an Echo Spot (which I also have) because of the mono dot-matrix screen. About three weeks ago it suddenly started saying the weather was sunny and 27 degrees C (It was actually raining or snowing and around zero degrees). I have contacted Vobot support several times with zero response. It is only 6 months old so I am thinking about sending it back to Amazon. It is still showing sunny 27 degrees!!

A great idea for an alarm clock but not the best quality. The speaker breaks up a bit when playing even quiet sounds, it needs rubber feet because it slides around most surfaces, and the touch sensitive button seems over sensitive sometimes and unresponsive at other times. But even with these failings it's still a fun gadget that's almost spot on.

very good but needs a little bit more smarter for mewould love to be able to set more than one alarm, one for week days one for the weekend otherwise recommended, but keeping a eye out for the spot when it’s release in uk

I am very pleased with this product Vobot a good alarm Clock As well as working with Alexa

Great idea, easy to set up and add routines and alarms etc. BUT returned due to the touch sensitive button on the top to activate/wake or deactivate alarm was useless, hardly ever worked so sent it back. now have a amazon spot in its place
