Dust is the enemy
Had an initial problem attaching the protector because of air bubbles but a quick email to Anne at Expert Shield got a very prompt replacement in the post and some really good tips about fitting.Dust really is the enemy so all the precautions should be followed to the letter. Additionally it was suggested that the protector film be trial fitted and fixed with a masking tape hinge along one edge. After thorough cleaning, degreasing and drying the camera screen was protected with masking tape (doesn't leave any residue) until ready to fit. Once the screen tape is removed I immediately peeled back the protector film and let it settle onto the screen. Remove the masking tape hinge and gently rub out any imperfections in the fit. Worked for me.Expert Shield Customer Service is the best I have come across for some considerable time if not ever. Many thanks - I am now a very happy customer

Superb Quality
This is the 5th of these products I've bought over the years - and I have bought two this week! The first I bought at The Photography Show some years ago. The quality of these protectors is superb. They are very thin, completely unnoticeable and the touch functions still work. The scary thing is fitting them. Once fitted I've never needed to remove them. The instructions are very funny, but on a serious note, this time I received an email pointing me to a helpful video. It had a tip about using masking tape to position the protector before committing to placing it. This is brilliant! It also suggest applying them in a steamy bathroom where there is less likely to be dust. This morning I have applied two of them with no trouble at all. Easier even than the guy in the video :)I think it's really important to make sure you don't touch the side that will touch your screen, and also to make sure that it is positioned so it is properly on the screen and not on the surroundings.I did end up with a spec of dust under one protector (the first I ever applied), but this was when I'd applied it on holiday in a rush with no tape around to lift it off. I still have that spec of dust, but my screen is otherwise still perfect and I can live with it.Search for Instaling Expert Sheild Crystal Clear Screen Protector V3 for the helpful video on YouTube. Note - there is a spelling mistake or two in the title!!

Installation Easily Ruined / READ FINE PRINT ON *LIFETIME GUARANTEE*
I purchased this clear shield for my PEN-F having already installed one on my E-M1 without any problem. I'd like to mention that I have installed not one but TWO of the tricky InvisibleShield iPad products which require squirting with deionized water in the past few years ... Again, no problem. I was misled, I feel, by the opening line "Expert Shield *Lifetime Guarantee*" which contains fine print as you will see below (from their website):"Our warranty does not cover poor fitting. The original item must be returned with all packaging and proof of purchase must be presented with replacement claim. Once we have received these and received the £1.49 P&P charge we will dispatched your replacement immediately. PLEASE NOTE: No returns are accepted without a returns number."I bought both my Olympus cameras last year and they involved a considerable expense to me as I'm currently registered disabled and had to save up for these cameras which I have used as a creative outlet to combat my current depressive spell (I'm bipolar). So I was VERY keen that I install a shield IMMEDIATELY upon taking off the very basic screen coverings that come with the cameras. As I say, the E-M1 installation went fine, but during the PEN-F's shield installation, I my finger brushed the bottom right corner. It was no more than that, I didn't hold the sticky side of the shield or anything substantial like that. (I had also stationed myself with lighting so that I could be sure no dust was around.) In the end, the screen protector just would not stick in that corner. With a small 3in piece of plastic, it is entirely likely that it might slip while holding it and a person's finger or thumb touch the sticky side of the shield. I tried using sticky tape to see if that would remove whatever residue was there, but it did not work. I was REALLY frustrated because I needed the camera for an outing tomorrow for which I've been preparing for a couple of days and now I won't be taking it since I don't want to risk getting the screen dirty or worse still scratched before I scout out a different brand of screen protector.I have taken a photo of the protector on the screen as proof of what happened. Now when reading the website I see all the caveats, including the fact that even if they DO honour you with a replacement you are expected to pay the postage and packaging cost of £1.49 - for what? To post out a tiny piece of plastic? In any case, given the price of the shield itself, it hardly seems worth it to throw good money after bad and pay another £1.49.I'm sure many people have had good experiences with this product - as I say I was able to install one on my E-M1 - but I do want people to be aware of how easily this item can be rendered useless - and will not fall into the so called Guarantee - Lifetime or otherwise. I'll be sure to read the fine print better in future.Dr T Z Rama Lakshmanan

Tried to fit the 1st one, couldn't remove the air bubbles. Phoned the supplier who sent me a replacement. Had the same problem and both went into the bin.

I'm notoriously seriously bad at screen protector application
Confession up front...I'm notoriously seriously bad at screen protector application. With this one for my Olympus Pen-F after approx 24 times (probably slight exaggeration) I was feeling like the Robert the Bruce spider. Just as I was about ready to scream and chuck the Expert Shield in the fire I took a deep breath and...read the instructions. Seems the trick is...three tricks. 1. if you're careful you can try as many times as you need to. 2. if you get any dust on the underside (the side you really don't want dust on) take a little bit of sticky tape and dab the dust off, this handy hint really works. 3. place one end in situ then slowly let the rest down while using a credit card edge with the provided cloth over it to smooth down and work out the air bubbles. Twenty-four times I failed, then...perfection. See my pics...rubbish attempt and I've-read-the-instructions attempt. Very happy.

Outstanding Product and Service
I've used these shields on a number of devices, PEN-F, E-M1, iPhones etc and they are excellent and the company's customer service is outstanding. The last one I installed on a second PEN-F I somehow made a mess of, it didn't seem to stick properly in one corner. I contacted customer services and they promptly sent me TWO replacements! This time I installed in the shower room (as recommended to avoid dust particles) with complete success. Highly recommended.

The best screen protectors
have them on all my cameras. Not fool proof application, but easier than most. Prefer the clear version.
