Quiksilver Uflex K66 Steering Cable Adapter

I was happy to find this adapter after I got the "wrong" steering cable for my boat. The fact that it was delivered in 3 days was also great. BUT IT CAME MISSING THE SCREW TO LOCK THE CABLE IN !!!! Not the end of the world, but still a PITA. $22 for a small chunk of machined aluminum is kinda pricey, you'd figure they'd give you a $.05 screw (like is shown in the picture!!!!)

New cables with the old 7/8"-14 threaded coupling are no longer available, so the adapter was required to fit the new quick connect style steering cable on the 1970's era boat steering gear. It was well made and easy to install plus it was almost half the price of the " Teleflex" adapter. There was a small amount of play between the groove in the cable and the cross-bolt in the adapter but probably not all cables are identical so this clearance might vary. Happy with the purchase/
