Cocoon GRID-IT! Organizer Extra Small 7" x 5" - Black

Nicely presented in a box and sturdy construction, but I was surprised that it was not completely black as per the description and pictures, but partly purple (see my photo). This was not to my taste and I wouldn't have ordered had I known. I ordered 2, both as gifts, and both are black/purple.As other reviewers have mentioned, it is quite heavy given its size and there is no pocket on the reverse which I think is only a feature on the larger sizes. This one was the small size.

Itlooks exactly as show by the photos in the web page but is heavy. So am assuming it is backed by heavy piece of solid card instead of corrugated type of card board but instead of card made of plastic similar to the twin walled or triple walled material used for conservatory roofing (= much lighter than glass but strong). Or, the manufacturer can use the same board material as Estate Agents' For Sale boards. Cocoon missed opportunity here hence only 3 stars but could have so easily earn themselves 5 stars if they gave it one more thought to the final user who has to haul luggage around.

Definitely a weird product since you don't know if you need it till you have it, and I can tell you right now that it makes a huge difference! Whenever I've got my bag, I have to bring this with me since it's not just making life easier by allowing you to hold things in a small place but also by preventing inconveniences such as tangled wires.

This product is quite simply, brilliant.I do a lot of travel and am forever having to pack bags and get all my cables together; this has now resolved that issue in a simple and stylish manner.This one is about the same size as an iPad mini/slightly bigger than a paperback. I t easily holds all the cables to four different electronic devices, various adapters and pens and still has room for more.You would struggle to put a laptop power cable on this size would I would suggest getting a bigger one if that is your use.Overall 5 stars, buy one now...what are you waiting for? press the buy button...it is on the screen somewhere

Holds so many things in place, and is so flexible. I would just add a cover or a flap to stop items catching when taking the cocoon in or out of the bag

This just saves you from trying to find items in the bottom of your bag. It is exactly what I was looking for. I gave some away to friends for Christmas last year. My friends and my brother love them. They are unisex so this are good for people who have everything.

I was reluctant to purchase one of these, favouring pouches to store things in my work bag but after reading a number of positive comments about them on Lifehacker I decided to take the plunge. Why hadn't I done it sooner? Very well made and easy to see exactly what I've got, arranged in a combination to suit me. A small zippered pouch on the back takes loose/ small adapters. I now intend to purchase a larger one to use alongside this. Easy to switch between bags and small enough to slip into my I-pad pouch.

Shame it does not have an outer cover. Had to use the seethrough plastic cover it came in last time and now that has broken. Must see if I can find a cover for the cocoon before travel this year.
