PLUSTEK z-0037 Film Holder Set for OpticFilm Series 7200 / 7200i(SE) / 7300 / 7500i(Ai/SE) / 1x Film Strip and 1 x Mounted Slide Holder

I purchased this item on 26/08/2017 & it arrived within the specified time. I bought this as a backup for my Plustek 8200i scanner so whilst one batch is scanning, I could load a second slide holder ready so speeding up the procedure. I would like to bring up 2 points, 1. £21.56 for 2 plastic holders is nothing more than scandalous (given the material costs less than £1......IMHO). 2. Buyer should be offered the option to purchase either 2 slide holders or 2 film strip holders. In my case I would have preferred to have 2 slide holders as I only used slide film & not negative film. In conclusion, great product but massively over priced and given the purchase price, customer should be offered the choice of choosing either 2 slide holders or 2 negative strip holders.

Having bought a Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE, I decided that a second set of holders would speed up the scanning process, with one holder being filled while the other is in the scanner. Also, experience with older film scanners (from Minolta, Nikon etc) suggests that film holders are eventually discontinued and then become very expensive to obtain on auction sites, so spares at such a modest price make sense.

Using this to digitalise old negative film strips. Perfectly keeps film in place and straightens it, so you can scan it or take a picture using a macro lens without distortion.

If you want to shorten your scanning time, get an extra set of film/slide holders. Highly recommended.

I've not had chance to use this as yet but, looking at the way it holds slides, which is why I bought it, it wouls seem to admirably fill my requirements.

I needed a film holder to keep 35mm negative strips flat for copying by digital camera.This works. I have not used in a scanner, nor have I used the slide holder.Only minus point is that it's a bit expensive for a piece of moulded plastic.

I needed to replace my slide scanner adapter, which was falling to bits and I didn't know if anybody was still making these items. Therefore I was pleased to find that Amazon still supplied them and they were identical to the originals, not some cheap substitute. This means I can continue using my excellent Plustek OpticFilm 7400 [also bought through Amazon]

Only needed the slide holder but have to buy the film strip holder as well. Should be possible to buy separately. Also not always a very positive feel when moving the slide holder through the scanner so it is sometimes difficult to get the slide centred
