Melissa has a way of drawing you into her characters lives and keeping you there the entire way. You truly love the characters. I can't wait to read the next installment in the series.

Tropical Storm is awesome.
I have never read a Malissa Good book that I did not thoroughly enjoy, here she did not disappoint. "Tropical Storm" is the beginning of a series I plan to read all of.

A real feel good story whose popularity continues
I am so glad to see this terrific story not only back in print but in a wonderfully edited new edition. At 476 pages this is a substantial story that is ideal for vacation or a long weekend or airplane trip.Populated with endearing characters that have interesting and diverse lives. With it's Florida locales, high-tech careers and personal drama this novel has plenty to offer any reader. I especially enjoyed the character growth of both Dar and Kerry plus those who surround them in their lives. Plenty of intrigue and office politics and romance keep this novel a page turner. This is the first novel in a series that has grown to be 7 novels and is still growing. Originally published by a different company and now newly edited by a new publisher.Don't miss any of the titles in the series -* Tropical Storm* Hurricane Watch* Eye of the Storm, 2nd Edition* Red Sky At Morning* Thicker Than Water* Terrors of the High Seas* Moving TargetFrom the publishers web site - From bestselling author Melissa Good comes a tale of heartache, longing, family strife, lust for love, and redemption. Tropical Storm took the lesbian reading world by storm when it was first written . . . now read this exciting revised "author's cut" edition.Dar Roberts, corporate raider for a multi-national tech company, is cold, practical, and merciless. She does her job with razor-sharp accuracy. Friends are a luxury she cannot allow herself, and love is something she knows she'll never attain.Kerry Stuart left Michigan for Florida in an attempt to get away from her domineering politician father and the constraints of the overly conservative life her family forced upon her. After college she worked her way into supervision at a small tech company, only to have it taken over by Dar Roberts' organization. Her association with Dar begins in disbelief, hatred, and disappointment, but when Dar unexpectedly hires Kerry as her work assistant, the dynamics of their relationship change. Over time, a bond begins to form. But can Dar overcome years of habit and conditioning to open herself up to the uncertainty of love? And will Kerry escape from the clutches of her powerful father in order to live a better life?

One of Best Uber
I think of all of Melissa Good's books this one was the best one. I don't have the copy pictured here, I think I have an older version.Anyway Kerry is a young woman just coming into her own away from the strict and oppressive atmosphere of her home and being a Senator's daughter.Dar is the ultimate corporate shark. Actually she takes over other companies chews them up and takes what she needs for her own companies' agenda.Their fates collide when Kerry's employer is to taken over by Dar's bigger company. What follows is just good story telling of thier journey to discovering what they have in each other. Of course putting Dar in a Tomcat jet fighter was something I never expected. And it does not matter how many times I have read this book, it always leaves a warm place inside of me. Thanks Melissa for sharing this story.

Even Better the Second Time Around
I'm willing to bet that every fan of lesbian fiction has at least heard of this classic series by Melissa good. With that said, I won't go into detail about the characters or the story. What I will say is `Tropical Storm' and its sequels deserve their place among the best in lesbian literature and should be enjoyed by everyone. I recently read this series for the second time. Although I first read it several years ago, the characters and storyline seemed like old friends and I enjoyed visiting with them again.Dar and Kerry are obviously based on Xena and Gabrielle. However, Good has given them lives of their own in a modern setting with new adversaries to topple. She has taken them past the bounds of television and allowed them to fully explore the potential of their relationship. Hats off to Melissa Good and the gift she has given this genre.
