Involuntary renewals, no discernable value; delivery is rare; the free website is just as good
Update: I had already written a one-star review, but their refusal to honor not auto renewing would have dropped it to one-star anyway. Amazon customer service failed me on this. I guess I'm an involuntary lifetime subscriber now.I like their website, so decided back in June to support them with a subscription. I've received two issues of the magazine since then. I wasn't terribly impressed by the content compared to what's freely available on their website. I won't be renewing my subscription.

Horrible delivery method
I was somewhat disappointed with the magazine since December when I received this subscription as a gift. The magazines I pickup at the newsstand are large and beautiful and have mostly recipes and few ads. However the subscription gives you skinny magazines with lots of ads AND the last straw was delivering it via a plastic bag thrown on my driveway like a piece of junk mail? What in the world? I responded with questions to Bon Appetite via all their social channels & received crickets! horrible customer service. And why oh why are they adding yet more plastic to the environment by using this delivery method via regular mail. The website is actually great and you can access that and their youtube channel for free. Don't waste your money with a subscription.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
Years ago, I used to subscribe religiously to this magazine and absolutely loved it. I was thrilled to see the subscription on sale, now that I have more time to cook. But, the 1st issue I received was the Holiday issue and there was NOT one thing in the magazine that I was interested in making!! This was the Holiday issue, that should have had a ton of great recipes but they were too trendy with ingredients that I would only find at specialty stores! The second issue I received was not much better! The magazine is too trendy and geared for 25- 40 age group who have lots of time to be in the kitchen.I showed my 2 adult children ( 27 y/o Boy & 30 y/o Girl) the 2 magazines and neither of them were interested in making any of the offered recipes! They both enjoy cooking and often have dinner parties, but were not interested in these recipes. They both said the recipes were too time consuming and had ingredients that they didn't stock in their pantry. What happened to the "RSVP" section with requested restaurant recipes? And, the "Too Busy to Cook" section that featured cooks with GREAT recipes that were quickly prepared?!When my subscription ends, I definitely will NOT be renewing!

Useless and Political
I got this free and it was still not worth it. Because I saw a recipe I liked while waiting for new tires, I thought I’d give it a try. Big mistake. Most of the recipes are for dishes I’ve not heard of and don’t care about. But what turned me off the most is Conde Naste has turned into just another arm of the media pushing a social/political agenda. I always thought cooking magazines should be for pleasure. Now I’m getting useless recipes with political over tones. No thanks. It comes, I look thru it with disappointment and I pitch it. Save your money

Bon Appetit - once reliable and great, now a shell of itself
I don’t typically take the time to write reviews but the decline of Bon Appetit has prompted me to caution all those who may be looking for a cooking magazine. I was a loyal subscriber to Bon Appetit for many years due to the reputation and great recipes. I looked forward to the beginning of each month and the new recipes, twists, spins and adaptions to classics and new recipes from various chefs I had never heard of. I planned my weekends and meals around the latest version and have a library of over 600 recipes and an additional 20+ cookbooks. I modified typical holiday meals with many of the new recipes provided by Bon Appetit. As of the last year the magazine has lost their editor in chief and many chefs, contributors, etc. I was hoping the magazine would be able to keep their quality and deliver new and updated recipes, but that has not been the case. Rather the magazine has declined significantly. The magazine is about 1/2 the size as it was previously. There are far less recipes that their used to be and those that are provided are mainly recipes from past articles and years. There is no real original or new content and many more articles that do not contain their associated recipes or are less about cooking.I have been monitoring for months hoping it would improve, but it has not and the lack of very few new spring/summer recipes is more than disappointing. If Bon Appetit wants to survive and remain part of the cooking landscape then they need to refocus their attention to the true purpose - cooking and providing new and innovative recipes . If I could give no star or negative stars, I would.

Won't renew
I've subscribed to Bon Appetit since 1987. I renewed my subscription over and over because it was a great magazine with a lot to it. I saved so many recipes that have become part of my repertoire. I've noticed over the last few years, though, that the magazine has changed dramatically. Those recipes are no longer a part of the magazine. In my opinion, it's become a boring subscription. I subscribed last year through Amazon (much lower subscription rate) with the hope it had changed, but it hadn't. It automatically renewed this year before I noticed. I tried to cancel it, but it was too late so I'm stuck for another year. With so much to be found on the internet, Bon Appetit has steep competition. I won't renew next year.

I'd like to cancel my subscription
Not sure how to cancel my subscription. But I haven't been reading the magazine and need to cut back on spending. Not sure who to ask or how to unsubscribe.
