Having seen pictures this is generally installed with the router's ports pointing upwards, I have mounted on a stud wall with the ports pointing left and it is solid as rock and there is no flexing in the router when fixed into the rack.Make sure you know where your studs are if mounted on a stud wall. I drilled a few holes finding them. Easily filled and painted.

Used this to rack mount a 1U switch and a cable management bar. Can’t fault it. Does the job. Startech make great products.

High price but certainly worth it. It's a solid frame and has a hefty weight to it, certainly will hold up to even the heaviest of tasks.I have it as a mount for the underside of my desk to keep things within reach, but tidy and elegant. It has all 4 1U positions mounted and takes it with ease.Would highly recommend it.

The online images makes you wonder if this is too flimsy. I assure you it’s not, I was pleasantly surprised with build quality. It is solid and very study. Even the cage nut holes are cut well. Note it is meant to be mounted under a desk, a shelf or even a ceiling.
