This naturally results in them being more shy and withdrawn from human contact when they first come through our doors. In some cases they are so utterly fearfull it takes them a long time to settle down.In those cases we do like to help them a little hand. We do this by creating a safe little den for them, in the form of a covered crate with lots of bedding and blankets. All of these soft furnishings get treated with this exact, natural relaxing spray.I like the nozzle attachment which makes it very easy to direct, without the risk of utterly soaking through the furniture. The scent is natural and non-offensive both to human and doggy noses. Some other sprays we have used in the past leave a sticky residue or even stain the blankets it has been sprayed on, but no such issues here.The valerian seems to be doing it's job well as it helps calm down the dogs a little quicker, helps them come out their shell a little more readily, which in the end means we can start making lasting change in these dogs lives, sooner.

Our cocker spaniel gets quite anxious when there are fireworks or thunder storms and after seeing him really panicky over Bonfire weekend, I wanted to find something to help him if he us feeling agitated.Zen Dog has a lovely scent and comes with both a lid and spray top, which is really handy to spray it on his fur, pillow or collar as instructed. Its difficult to test how effective it is as we are not passed fireworks etc so I think the next big test will be NYE so I will update my review then.The bottle is quite pricey at around £16.99 at time of posting for 250ml but on balance is worth it to help our dog feel calmer and using it via the spray bottle will make sure we use the appropriate amount without wastage.

This time of year can be awful for more anxious pets - Trick or Treaters, Fireworks etc and my young Terrier boy can go to bits with the anxiety of it all.This spray seems to certainly calm him for short periods of time - and you can see a positive change in his body language when I get the bottle out so it would seem he associates it with good things.The instructions on use are clear and the quantity you’re provided with should last for a good long time seeing as you only use a very small amount each time.I’m pleased with it and Little Man seems to be too.

My dear doggy never had a problem with fireworks or loud bangs until, a year or so ago, he seemed a bit less comfortable with them. This year, however, we were shocked how shaken he was by it; it broke our heart seeing him shaking and hiding in the bathroom! These sprays which use valerian extract which is meant to calm pooches down is a very necessary addition to the cupboard now, and we are using it in the evenings as he is still not keen on going out at night. It seems to help calm him, though it helps if it's used in conjunction with calming music etc. Application is easy and the spray has a subtle smell that isn't too offensive to dog or human. We applied it earlier today as he was still pulling back on the lead and is regularly barking at our delivery people (which we obviously get quite a few of!). He's been very calm this afternoon so we are hoping this will get him through what is going to be a few months full of fireworks! One small point - see the image above for the crazy packaging! Someone got a little overzealous in the warehouse.

Excellent spray well packed and came with the spray nozzle.Got it for the festive seasons to calm the dogs from the firework bangs .Bottle has good instructions on use and contents of the product .Great product
