Cool idea but very bulky
While its a neat idea, it is a very bulky lighter. not very useful for lighting candles but it is a good addition to any household for lighting oil lamps, fireplace starters...etc

Great lighter
Sleek design. And glows in the dark too.

Watch out for people reselling a used one
Received this product less than 10 minutes ago. Watch out for used products. Received mine and was covered in a dust of some sort on cables and the lighter. Also, the lighter had visible wear. There is a logo when all of their pictures show it without one

Neat rechargeable lighter.
This is a neat little rechargeable lighter. It creates 2 plasma arcs instead of a flame like a traditional lighter. It works pretty well although it doesn't create very large arcs so it's not as effective as a traditional flame lighter. It's not going to replace a BIC any time soon but overall it's a cool novelty lighter that's fun to use and would probably make a good gift.

It Works but Has a Few Flaws
I think that the glow-in-the-dark aspect of the lighter I chose is probably the lighter's best feature, and that says a lot.I used to have a different electric lighter in the past, so I thought this would be a good replacement. It wasn't. Sure, it still lights candles, incense, cigarettes, or whatever else you may want to use it for, but the design of the lighter as well as the touch sensor on/off switch really dampens its functionality.First off, the lid that covers the electric coils is very bulky and large and makes it difficult to use in some scenarios such as candles that have melted down deep into the container to where, with this lighter, the lid prevents it from fitting. So, you can only light things if the lid is not in the way. Secondly, the touch sensor is very annoying. The touch sensor only activates when the lid is open, but even after pressing the sensor, the coils will only stay lit for a few seconds before they shut back off. The problem is that instead of just being able to tap the touch sensor again to reactivate the coils, you have to close the lid first and then reopen it. The lighter I got will only power once per every lid opening, and if you don't light whatever you need in those few seconds, then you will have to close the lid and reopen it again to re-engage the touch sensor. It's an annoying experience but it does work. My final issue is also the battery. On my unit, I was only able to use it a few times before the battery went from a full meter all the way down to almost empty. So, there's a lot to be desired with this lighter. It's bulky, annoying to use, and doesn't hold a charge for long. However, it does look great. The glow-in-the-dark feature does work very well, and it's a feature you don't see on most lighters. So, if you are in the dark and can't find your lighter, this will make it much easier to find. However, aside from that, this lighter is just a middle of the road lighter. It works, and is rechargeable, but I can't fully recommend it.

Great plasma lighter that needs a few features fixed
This lighter does exactly what you want. Battery life is decent and super easy to use. Touch pad to turn it on is sensitive and works every time. I got this after my wife wanted a flameless option for our home.Only real gripe is the option to turn it off with the button is not there. You have to close the lid to turn it off, which in all honesty is not that bad but an off feature on the button would have sent this lighter to 5 stars.Overall its great, easy to use, and most importantly worked every time. I would could recommend this to anyone that wants a quick and easy solution to a flameless lighter.

Very poor battery life, but very fast charging?
I picked this up because honestly I thought the unique design was kinda cool. I don't really see it as a "gem" as they advertise it, but it looks neat. The activating mechanism is a bit odd. You flick it open, and then there's a capacitive touch panel (the black diamond with the power symbol in it) and it'll activate for a couple seconds, then deactivate on its own. It won't activate again until you close and open the lid again. So there's 4 lights above the power symbol (in my second image you can see there's only one left, in the third you can see it activated, where the light just goes back and forth until it's done) that denote battery life. Each pip of the battery seems to get roughly 10-15 activations, meaning you can fully deplete the battery in about 40-60 activations or so.This isn't... the worst, I guess. But I recently picked up a similar lighter and that one had considerably more battery capacity AND a strong built-in flashlight, and you could activate the lighter as long as the button was held down, no weird timed activations, which can be really inconvenient if something is being stubborn about catching. That said, while the battery life is terrible, it thankfully charges very quickly; I could swear it went from completely empty (I activated it over and over until it completely died) to full in well under an hour, so that helped keep the score from dropping lower.Further, I actually was able to get it to activate without my finger being anywhere near the touch panel a few times, it seems like if my hand was within a few inches it could occasionally set it off, which seems... not great. Again, the other lighter I got had a physical button, where this would never happen. All in all, I think you should probably look elsewhere unless you really like the design. I mean, it functions, but it's compromised. I'd love to see a revision with my complaints addressed, though. I still really like the design and don't fault them for trying to do something a little different.
