What on earth...
I enjoyed this. Wasn't the best but I did enjoy it. This artist is ridiculous. I like most frank miller stuff aswel so it was an easy sell for me

Okay and not okay version of Hard Boiled
I have the original comics I bought way, way many years ago in the late 80's/early 90's. Saw this and that it had been recoloured. The images online showed a improvement as even then thought the colour work had something that wasn't right. Overall very dark in places. I like the new colour work but the size of the comic has been formatted to a more standard American comic size. I have to say this has been to the utter detriment of the rich, mad and fantastic art of Geoff Darrow. So much of his detailed work is simply lost at this size. Anyway didn't cost a lot but that loss of detail is a disappointment.

Must Read
What else can I say other than this is an essential read?

This Is Geof Darrow's Show
This is some of the most amazing comic book art I've ever seen. Frank Miller gets a lot of praise for this book, but it's really Geof Darrow's show.

I recevied the comic with damaged cover and for comics collector it is a big NO

They let Frank Miller cook and Darrow served it up
This is what you get when an unhinged Frank Miller gets access to Geoff Darrow. Batshit trippy ultraviolence presented in the most hyperdetailed artwork that can simulate minds with hyperactivity. This is good stuff right here. Nothing else. But where it hits it hits it right out the park.

an other one...
an other comic that would do better if the story had the same clear, yet detailed, expressive style the illustrations have. the story is intense and hard to follow because of the culmination of irrational violence
