Singing in the Rain

The colors pop, and so fun to read/sing with my grandchildren. When I showed them the You Tube movie clip of Gene Kelly singing and dancing, they were over joyed with giggles!

Beautiful! We really enjoyed the “What a Wonderful World” board book by the same illustrator, so we wanted this one too. We bought the hardcover edition “used-very good” and we love it as well. It even came with a CD of the song!!One minor thing … the hardcover is much larger than we expected - 12”x12” at least. That’s not a bad thing, but for some reason we thought it would be similar in size to a board book. Overall, very pleased.

My 17-month son LOVES this book. We got it a couple of months ago and he still reaches out to it daily. He always has the biggest smile when I open this book and start to sing (and I'm not a great singer). He loves the illustrations and the song, and I really appreciate the vibe of being grateful and appreciative of nature and things we often don't pay attention to or even try to avoid like rain. It's a great reminder. I even find myself thinking about the message of the song last time I got caught in the rain. I also bought What a Wonderful World from the same "author" and this has become my son's favorite song of the moment. I truly feel lucky for finding these books, thank you Tim Hopgood!

What a great way to introduce children to a classic song. The pictures are beautiful. Love the rainbow colors of their rain coats. The pictures remind me of being in a ride at Disney World. If your copy does not come with a CD, you should download the Doris Day version of the song to play with the book. It makes it even more enjoyable. My class really enjoyed this book.

Love the song from the movie. Bought the book for my older sister who also loves it. Sing it to my 7-year old and 3-year old granddaughters. They love it and sing along. Illustrations are all the colors of the rainbow making it bright on a rainy day.

I saw this at our local library with my 2.5 year old daughter and was delighted since I grew up watching this musical. The drawings are beautiful and whimsical and my daughter loves pointing out things that she sees and has learned most of the words to the song. It's one of my favorite books to read/sing since I have a personal connection to it as well. Even if you don't, the lyrics are so pure and sends a sweet message. I bought one for my niece too!

Ordered the board book version. Got hard back. Returned it for another board book. Same thing happened. Contacted customer service. Was assured the right one was on its way! Got hard back again! Contacted customer care. They gifted me the hard back and refunded my card. Can you tell I really wanted this book! My toddler loves this song. We have wonderful world in board book. So wanted this one for him as well. But we will enjoy the hardback u til he destroys it then will look else where to buy it.

Love this beautiful rendition of a beautiful songbook. The illustrations are so vibrant and beautiful. I have a copy I use in my music classes and when my 5 month old nephew saw it, his eyes got HUGE. He loved the illustrations so much I had to buy him his own copy!!

My students love singing this song as we go through this book. The images are beautiful and captivating. My students really like looking at the pictures.

Bought for my Grandson so we can sing the words to the song while he looks at the illustrations which are beautifully done. If you don’t know the song, the lyrics rhyme quite well when spoken. Very happy with purchase!

Very nice book...what i loved most: the children in the pictures are dressed differently and in different colors (of the rainbow) and they all are appreciating some aspect of rainy day activities.

Great book to teach a daycare this classic song.
