Easy assembly
Easy to assemble. We've received lots of rain so it didn't take long to be able to use for plants and pets. Recycling rainwater!

Decent but one design problem
I bought two and over this super rainy season here in the West.Despite how securely you tighten the lowest valve to the vinyl, it will still leak at the joint once the 53G barrel gets to around half full.

Works well but be sure to place on a level surface
The rain barrel was easy and quick to put together. When I accidentally installed this rain barrel on tilted ground ghe forst time, the barrel later, on its own, tilted and then fell over and rolled down the hill, emptying itself out to my regret at the loss of 50 gallons of rain water. So far, no animals have attacked it, despite plenty being out here. By the way, it is a good idea to place an anti-mosquito doughnut dunk into the rain barrel to keep mosquito larvae from making a home there. My vegetables seem to like rain water much better than chloramine-treated city water, so this is a good investment for the long run, useful even after the drought situation just got called off after the recent heavy rains.

Oy vey
In recent years my kids have decided to join me in my outdoor gardening so having a large barrel for water has become necessary. Recently decided to invest in one but I'm still a single mom on a budget! I decided to get myself this 1 and discovered that assembly was relatively easy, however the design for the fixtures is woefully mishandled. The instructions are not clear enough for my taste. I also didn't like the material that is provided to secure the fixtures between the interior and exterior which is in theory meant to prevent the water from leaking out. The 1st time I tried to fill this it weakened, it weaked almost immediately from every fixture. I re examined all of them and guaranteed that I had followed the instructions and everything was appropriately tightened. The result is the container will often hold only half as much as it should although it will decide to hold more than that. The zipper on top works fine and it does indeed keep out debris and Gather rain water.

LEAKS!
Purchased with purpose for indoor plant feeding. Arrived in great shape, easy to assemble. However, the legs have to slide vertical into a tight vinyl like material, not an easy task if you have larger hands or lack patience. I found pulling around the area to make material taunt def helped. As with any water items that have spouts, I used plumbers' tape, hoping to avoid any drips/leaks. Made sure gaskets on each side of vinyl for all the spickets as instructions read. First time, I sat it on the floor in my office and began to fill. Watching for leaks, all seemed good until the water reached the bottom spout. Thats where the issue is, couldn't stop the leak. Returned and the company was GREAT, sent me a replacement and I sent back the leaking unit. So, 2nd one arrives, this time i assemble same way, as per instructions still adding my plumber's tape & filled it up in the tub. I suggest tub or outside so that it's easy to dump if needed and if leaking, you won't have a huge mess. Needless to say, same issue occurred. Bottom spout leaks no matter which way I tried. If I was going to be using this outside, the leak wouldn't be an issue. Not recommended for indoors due to LEAK ISSUE.The company was very great about retuning both items and refunding me timely

What kind of water hose do I need to get?
I love it.I water my house plants and yard plants.l just need a hose to clamp on it so I can get some more water out when I cant get the water from the nosal, because the water is below the nosal sometimes.

I loved it, until it started to fill.
It's lightweight, sturdy and easy to assemble. Unfortunately the bottom spigot leaks. Not sure about the middle or top one yet because it won't fill any higher than the bottom one. I'm going to remove it and use the repair patches to seal it off. Maybe then I'll be able to use it. Great concept, poor design.

It’s not just for rain collection!
Great container for the price. Black rubber washers a little to fragile so you shouldn’t over tighten fittings. I am using it for inside use so that I can pre- mix my nutrient solution in a deep water culture. Should make for easier water exchange. I’ll have to test bottom outlet for a gardenia hose fitting. (I think!) .The top zipper is a bit finicky but the ability to block light and prevent algae growth is imperative.I would have liked an inside volume measurement in gal or liters.

Leaks around taps
Very versatile rain barrel but having issues sealing the tap connections. I used the rubbers supplied, plumber tape, and silicon sealant but it still found a small part to weep. Will empty it and try again as it’s fold up properties is great for winter storage.

zip doesn't zip, leaks
WITHOUT PREJUDICE - Zip more than faulty, leaking from bottom, doesn't provide all the rubber seals... paid more because believed you get what you paid for, watched you tube review on amazon products of which some imported products know that they may sell for 1000 percent inflation and get away it with it on Amazon.
