Great for what it is
Okay, this is a very low cost high-zoom lens. It is well constructed, the focus and slide are solid and it is not very heavy. It takes good photos and with my Fuji mirrorless it balaces well on the tripod. In fact the only negative is I cannot slide the tripod mount to adjust the center of gravity. Does it compare to a $2K lens, absolutely not, but it is great for tinkering.

too expensive
product is barely above usable level, the mount is accurate and secure, resolution equivalent to what you can see at 150mm L lense but the color is bad with strong purple edge. I would rate it three stars if its 70dollar or 5star if It's 40dollar where the alibaba or taobao selling it at.

Tricky But Fun
Little tricky to get set up but very fun and easy to use once you do get it set up

For this price, it should be junk. It's not.
I had very low expectations on this lens. For any other comparable zoom level you have to spend about $1500 for the entry level. This lens is not going to win any photography contest. But as you can see by the image I've attached, you can get decent images at the full 800mm zoom. I haven't spent an hours worth of time with this yet. I'm totally surprised. I never expected to own a zoom at this level because "I" ain't at the level to spend crazy bucks on lenses. But as a hobbyist, heck yeah I'm keeping this lens.Without a halfway decent tripod, you can't get a shot. But my tripod is a UBeesize 5500 so it ain't fancy. And with this tripod, it ain't easy, but it's doable. Good luck!

You get what you pay for
Contrary to Jintu's comment, my Sony A7 III works well with this lens in S or shutter preferred mode. I assume it would work fine in manual mode as well. As others have remarked, to zoom the lens, you simply pull it out. Note that you must then use the locking ring to lock it at that zoom if you want to be able to focus with one hand. It's a very inexpensive lens, so you shouldn't expect much and - you don't get much. It's not very sharp at all. This is something to play with, not something to use if you care about good picture quality.

Amazing value.
This is a powerful lens and works great with my X-A3. Super-straightforward to use. Great way to get into high-power telephoto shooting without breaking the bank. They included the proper adapter ring for my camera, a lens pen, microfiber cloth, and vinyl storage pouch. Pouch is kinda thin, so I put the lens in a thick sock before sliding it into the pouch. Also, the pouch drawstrings snag on the lens because they’re just threaded through alternating holes. I rethreaded them inside the rolled-over stitched channel around the opening. Much better. Also, it’s not real clear how to register for the 1-yr warranty. I filled out the card and emailed a photo of it to their customer service department. Looking forward to getting a lot of great nature shots with this lens.

Tough Call
This might be the most difficult item I’ve ever had to review. It’s even hard to create a context for it. A low end 800 mm lens will run you $800-$1000. The high-end versions are $13,000. And that’s just for a non-zoom lens. So when you buy a 400-800 mm zoom lens for $100 you have to greatly alter your expectations. You are not going to get very high photographic quality out of this but you would be surprised how much you can actually see with it. I was surprised at the overall build quality and the optics for the price of this thing. It’s not a very fast lens because the glass elements are small. And it’s very awkward in terms of balance because when you zoom out to 800 mm this thing is 13” long i’m pretty heavy at the objective end. Add another 2 inches for the adapter and you have a really awkward balanced lens here with no option to move it forward or backward on the mounting ring.Be aware that you have to center the adapter yourself as it turns out the lens is off-center and this can be very tricky. It has a fixed 8.3 aperture, meaning no aperture ring inside of it to stop down at all. It really is more like a telescope than a camera lens. It’s manual focus but you’ll be surprised at how smooth the focus mechanism works even if the zoom is a little bit rough. And the overall bill quality is surprisingly good for the price as well. All this being said it’s not a very flexible camera lens and I personally can’t find a specific used case for it. You’re not going to be doing landscape or wildlife photography. The lens is too inflexible and not fast enough. When I mean fast it’s not just the amount of light the lens lets in, it’s not just the aperture fast but manual focus is pretty slow so you’re not gonna catch a bird with this. Not to mention landscape usually doesn’t use such a long lens. The chromatic aberration is just too much to do any sort of celestial photography with us. You get color fringing on objects and again, You’re limited by the fixed aperture however neutral density filters can compensate for that.Snooping then? Well in the daytime this might be good enough to read a license plate in the stadium parking lot but you won’t be using this thing at night.I think your best use case is when you want to turn your camera into a spotting scope. This is clearly a limited kind of lens that is well more than you should expect for the price but still so much less than a photographer would generally need. So I don’t know where to put this.It comes with a lens cleaning pen that is actually very nice and useful and also a bag which is about as cheap a lens cover bag as you will ever find.As a note this is not really a Canon lens. It comes with a canon adapter but this is a T2 lens which is very similar to the M 42 universal thread mount. You can find any kind of adapter for very little money that will allow you to use this on almost any interchangeable lens camera. In the meantime I will continue to search for the ideal use case for this.

Pretty good for Manual Focusing
Zoom into long distance scenery, follow instructions with the lens, right on spot.Don't expect professional results but excellent manual focusing and you will like it.
