Caran d'Ache Goliath Ball Pen Refill Cartridges - Medium Black

My local independent stationers did not stock these and the guy in my local whsmith had never heard of Caran d'Ache! So back to amazon.Good price, arrived quickly and great quality.(as an aside: I bought a ballpoint refill for my Lamy from whsmith and it's awful - inconsistent flow and horrible to write with).

Refill received as announced. Nice refill for my Caran d'Ache 849 pen. This refill lasts long, the the point is fine and allows to draw fine lines with no smudges. According to Caran d'Ache this refill has enough ink to fill 600 A4 pages. I never counted the pages but for sure it lasts a lot.

Great ink, perfect fit for your pen and smooth rollerball.

There’s a reason why this brand is more expensive than many others. Once you’ve written with a Caran d’Ache pen you won’t want to use anything else. Super smooth and effortless writing experience.

Not sure if this is a fake cartridge as it’s awful. Nothing like my original one.I assumed as it was new, I’d just use it for a while for it to adapt to my writing yet it has stayed scratchy and often uneven. Really disappointed as the original cartridge was a revelation! I will ensure I buy direct from Caran d’Ache in future. If I find they’re all as unpleasant as this one was, I shall edit my review accordingly.
