Had problems with cats peeing/spraying couch when we weren't around (and we ruled out all other options). So this cover goes on the couch when no human is in the room. It is heavy and thick plastic, which is a bonus, but it is a little heavy but totally doable to take on/off when needed. I only weight 125 lbs and am not that strong, but can do this myself no problem. It fits pretty well shape wise. I was at first skeptical that it would hold up to claws, but I am impressed so far after 2 weeks. I have young, spastic cats and they have launched themselves off the couch and fight on it and even play with toys on it. No poked through holes yet. You will get these tiny dot imprints of where their claws press into the thick plastic, but so far it has held up to their craziness. And the best part is that no cat has peed or sprayed my couch yet since we've put this cover on it. I am so happy that I bought another one! I'll update when/if I have problems with it.....to help document durability. But so far so good. Totally worth the price.

It’s doing the job of keeping cats off new couch, but too soon to say if it’s durable & easy to clean. Because cover is much larger than couch, I had to take extra measures to keep it on (& keep cats out) so it will be easy enough to remove but a pain to put back on.

This is a heavy gauge plastic cover which fit my 3-section sofa perfectly. You have to figure out how it fits, but once you get it on correctly, the plastic goes to the floor on the back and the front, as well as covering the arm rests properly. They did not skimp on materials.I bought this because I have a new puppy, and it does a good job of defending the couch from "accidents". I do not allow the dog to chew on the cover. It's not tough enough for that (no cover is). I have a cheap cloth cover on top of the plastic, which is something I recommend if you are buying this because you have animals.

So I have 4 cats and three dogs- and one cat has seizures. We had to get rid of our old furniture as it was old and had been peed on and was disgusting. Since I rarely get new furniture, I decided to look into these plastic covers. I bought this one for our couch and it's been great!!! Now, it's not like this thing is going to last forever, I am on my second one, but it's been almost 2 years - and did I mention we also have 2 kids in addition to the critters? We have one cat who still pees on it, but I just wipe it off, spray with cleaner and wipe that up, then Lysol the heck out of it. If we have company we take the covers off, but that's a rare occurrence. It does get splits and some rips (2 of our dogs are 125 + lbs)- but I just duct tape it and we move along. I finally replaced one and am buying another as a backup just in case. It's way better than having disgusting furniture!!! A trick- I tuck the back ends of this cover under the legs of the sofa so it holds it in place. It's not a perfect fit, but it does the job!

This is what it says it is. It is a giant plastic cover for your couch.I had a hard time figuring out how to keep my pets off the couch. We had to buy new couches when one of the cats started peeing on the old set, it was to the point that I could not get the smell removed. This definitely did its job and kept the cat that was soiling my couches off of them. This did the trick for a few months but I did not factor in having guests or what to do with the plastic for normal everyday use of my couches. I was only focused on keeping my cat off.I have decided to get a PetSafe Scatmat which is working wonders!! It isn't much more expensive than this and my cat doesn't go on my couch. SOOO much easier to remove when guests arrive.Negatives:-Not presentable and uncomfortable. Kinda embarrassing.-Its heavy and bulky so taking it off while guests are present is a bit of a pain. Needs to be stashed in a spare bedroom.-Doesn't really fit the couch so my cat is able to jump underneath the cover from the back of the couch and it does not keep the cat off of my couch, like I wanted it to.Also the vendor never responded to me when I contacted them that one of the plastic covers that I ordered was damaged, I bought two.
