Deck Joist Tape 4" x 50', Butyl Joist Tape for decking, Waterproof and Anti-Corrosion Deck Joist Flashing Tape for Top of Joists, Rim Joists, Under Joists and Beams-1 Rolls

Used two widths on deck joists and beams. Getting the clear backing tape started and pulled off took some practice but wasn’t terrible. Tape was susceptible to nicks and tears especially when it got hot (in the sun). I would recommend using this tape on all deck projects.

The media could not be loaded.  We have yet to use it but wanted to let the vendor know that the 4”wide roll is mis-labeled. I almost sent the roll back! Thank goodness my friend took a closer look.Edit: Finished the deck last summer and so glad we used this butyl tape! Heard that a colleague had not used it and had to replace all the boards under his deck within a year.

Tape was easy to work with and adhered fine.

When did up not using it for what we planned to use it for so we still have it as adjusting case. But overall it seems like it's very good quality. It's super sticky. My only real complaint is that if you do use it you either need something to cut it with like a knife or you need an extra hand to tear the backing off because you cannot rip that stuff it's just not possible.

This joist tape is literally useless. It doesn't stick. I now have a ledger board and joist on a porch rehab with tape falling off. It's worse than useless. It means that if you have depended on it, you're going to have water incursion. DO NOT BUY, or if you did, RETURN.
