Footpath Flowers

A truly magical picture book without words. I recently saw this at the shop and I really loved it so I had to get one - for myself! It brillantly captures children's innocent world and their pure view of the world around them whilst the mandatory adult world goes by rather senselessly. The only colour of the girl's red coat and the flowers really illustrate this. It gently strikes a cord somewhere in your heart.Although this has no words, I'm not sure if a very young child would appreciate this and understand its message. Perhaps it is more suited for older children and adults alike.

A really beautiful wordless book with the most gorgeous illustrations! The little girl does the most wonderful things with flowers.

And since there aren't any words, I tell it to my girl in Spanish, and my husband in German and since flowers rhyme with anything, it has brought up the poet in us.

I bought it for my pupils but when my 29 years old daughter saw it she bought one for herself!!

Great for toddler to 'read' to self in bed as no words but a very clearly illustrated story. Touching, if a little melancholy.
