for a 1000 tc set i thought this would be a lot softer. never the less nice set, and will get softer with washes

This doesn't seem to be 1000 thread count. My 400 tc one seems softer. It's ok but not what I expected.It's also really big! It's designed for super fat goosedown duvets so doesn't fit my average thin duvet so there is loads of spare material flapping about.

This is way more than I ever expected to spend on a full set of bedding in my life but good grief is it worth it. It is so unbelievably soft against the skin, warm to the touch but not too warm and very breathable. I shall be buying another set of these at some point and all my old sheets will be exclusively for the spare rooms where the plebs sleep when staying over.

I would not say that this is 1000 TC duvet cover, it’s not the greatest quality. I’ve had it for a few months now. I’ve washed it a few times and it has definitely shrunk and just doesn’t feel that great anymore.

Thick material feels well made and durable, looks good, but it's not particularly soft - hoping it will soften up more over time.

This cover arrived in good time. It feels beautiful and is well made. I was surprised to find the opening is on the side, to be honest I think it is easier that way because I think the opening is larger. I bought matching pillow cases.
