The Sunshine Mind: 100 Days to Finding the Hope and Joy You Want

You will want more than one copy!
I am a teacher and single mother, and this book has been a life saver for my spirit. I keep giving away my copy, and buying another. Each time I give the book to someone, they come back to tell me about a moment when this book saved them…you can read one day at a time for inspiration, or look for what you need in the moment. Each day has a bible verse, a personal story from the authors, and then ends in a prayer. This is it, the book for hope, joy, and taking in those moments just as they are.

Can’t read yellow. Won’t be relatable for all women.
All of the comments about not being able to see yellow printed on top of yellow are legit! I thought, “I have good eye sight & how many yellow words can their be?” Turns out every single day has a yellow square with yellow words much less visible than the photo. This picture is after my camera adjusted to focus on the yellow. I do like the book because it challenges you to dig a little deeper in your Godly thoughts. Another dislike though was that the authors really wrote from their lives, it’s great for people who work!! But it’s not written universally. I’m an older stay at home mom, so far none of the life experiences given as examples from their personal experience have included motherhood, marriage, or life outside of work/college that I can relate too.

Best Book
This is by far my most favorite book! Not everything will go as we thought we had planned out. But, everything happens for a reason. This book gives some insight to remind us all of that. If you are second guessing buying this book….don’t. Buy it! You won’t be disappointed!

Sunny Thoughts from a Sunny Girl
I knew I’d love Tanya & Raquelle’s book right away because I ‘knew’ Tanya. When you meet someone who you’ve listened to on a podcast for years, and meet, then continue to keep in touch with, and they are GENUINELY and authentically the same person in each interaction, without facade or pride, it makes you trust what they have to share. The Sunshine Mind can be read as a daily devotional - thought for the day type way, you can take hours to devour it, or anything in between. I loved the real life examples they shared, and paired with gospel principles, ESPECIALLY the applications they gave to these each day, inviting you to add more light into your life. Life can get cloudy, and that’s okay, but this book is one of the ways you can reach through clouds, to sunnier skies ☀️

The convergence of Faith and Mental Health
There are many books on how faith and mental health converge especially in times of stress and change, however few do it with such a modern and light touch. It’s not over powering in quoting chapter and verse but it does acknowledge the wisdom of the Bible, a book around for a thousand years about raising the spirit of humanity, which is at its core about uplifting the human spirit. Sometimes irreverent so as to be approachable and the youthful counter voice of Raquelle to Tanya adds increased freshness to the easy applicability to day to day lives we each live and lead. It’s also a great insight into those we want to be and want around us to lessen the weight of the world. A great small bites read when have a few minutes each day as each chapter lesson about 2 pages. Worth it to just have around the house

Need well lit room for reading!
I've skimmed through many of the pages, it is not deep scripturally but the daily writings are very applicable. I am incredibly disappointed in the text in yellow font, especially the yellow one yellow. It is very difficult to read when not in well lit area. Additionally, the scriptures listed do not provide which translation was used, I always find that helpful in digging a bit deeper into that particular scripture.

Uplifting and inspiring
I’m not what you would call an avid reader but with your scrub sister writes a book and fulfills her dreams, you buy her book and support her! Well let’s just say I opened it the other night and I can’t put it down! The book is so uplifting and so inspiring, I feel like it will really help me have a much more positive outlook on things! I know it’s supposed to be 100 days and I’ll go back and do it the correct way but I just love the stories Tanya and Raquelle share! I think when I do my 100 day I’m going to journal my “homework” assignments in a separate book! I’m beyond happy for these ladies and don’t know of any more deserving people!💛 your scrub sister from PA

Not what I expected
This is probably on me for not looking into the book a little more, but it was a bit more religion based than I would’ve liked. I probably wouldn’t have purchased had i known this

Very motivational
I’m loving this daily read. It encourages me to then look up the verse of the day and look deeper into the meaning behind it. T

Amazing book
I am a weekly scrubber of Tanya’s Ponca at and was so excited when she announced she was writing a book. I am currently half way through and absolutely love it. I will add I am not a religious person and it still resonates with me so much.
