Put 1-2 teaspoons of the powder into a vessel and add 150 mL of hot water. The powder dissolves very easily to create a uniform dark brown liquid, getting darker the more of the powder you use.It is definitely coffee, with an interesting finish. It's slightly sweet and I have no idea where that's coming from since there's no sugar or sweetener added. I like my coffees black and was not expecting that. There's the bitterness they warned about but it was not particularly notable to me. It's coffee, after all. You have to try it to figure out if you'll like it.If you're looking for a way to ingest tongkat ali then this is a possible avenue. You get 70g grams/serving, but it's hard to compare to other options like capsules with upwards of 100g.

I was curious about Aka Koffee after hearing about the positive benefits of Tongkat Ali in an ad on a podcast - could it really live up to the hype? Flavorwise, it is not that different from pure coffee, but it has a very strong bitter note that neither sugar nor milk could suppress. It was most noticeable in the aftertaste, and it lingered. But the instant coffee was also very easy to prepare, and after finishing the package I did notice that my tendency toward caffeine headaches had diminished in the final week, so there may have been something to the claims that tongkat ali can reduce the effect. But I never got used to that bitter note, and ultimately decided I’d rather put up with the occasional headache.

For background, I am a coffee girl. Like I have a coffee bar, drink it everyday (sometimes multiple times a day) and flavor is everything to me.This coffee is amazing. If I could give it 6 stars I would. This is the best instant coffee I have ever had based on the flavor, strength and how a little goes a long way. I wish this was also in a ground or bean version so I can buy more to brew in the mornings. I have been working a few over night shifts and this has been a lifesaver. Its so easy to slip in my purse and take on the go. I put a little plastic spoon in mine so its easy to scoop when I need it. I also mixed it with a little matcha and it blends with other beverages (flavor wise) so good. I will definitely be buying again.

ordered this to try a new coffee beverage. the bag seems smaller than my usual coffee but as advertised it does provide about 21 servings. it was easy to make and the flavor was pretty good. i do like creamer in my coffee so i didnt notice too much of a bitter taste with the usual recipe since i had added the creamer to it. currently priced at $15 plus a 10% coupon. i would recommend!

I was excited to try a gourmet instant coffee, as instant and gourmet don't usually go into one sentence when describing coffee. The general purpose of instant coffee is to have something fast in a pinch. This is prepared as any other instant coffee would be and the packet is a nice resealable one. It's a pretty small container for the price and the taste is okay. It's definitely sweeter on its own than any coffee usually is. It tasted fine with flavored creamer, which took away that kind of "instant" taste and made it more palatable.

The instructions said to use 1 to 2 teaspoons of grounds per cup. The first cup I made was 2 teaspoons and it was much too strong for my tastes. For the next cup I only used one teaspoon and that was still plenty strong but much less bitter. They do mention that the bitter taste sticks with you for a couple of minutes, but I found the milk and sugar I added soften that quite a bit. I like that it only takes one teaspoon per cup because that will stretch the coffee enjoyment out longer. This instant coffee will be great for travel.
