Ortofon 2M Silver Stylus

I hated this when I first got as a replacement for my Red.Based on Ortofons advice that this was an upgrade I got it.It immediately sounded harsh and trebly, do I immediately went back to the Red, eventually as the Red wore out I had no choice but to use the Silver that had been sitting in the box.This time however it really seemed to come to life, maybe it just needed to be played in but I love the sound now.It tracks beautifully and what seemed harsh before has transformed into a clarity I never experienced with the Red.The sound is bright but in a good way, my vinyl seems to have come to life and the detail is incredible.Persevere with this, it’s worth it in the end!

This stylus is infact the 2m Red with a grey housing. Save yourself £10 to £15 and get the red. Does it really matter what colour it is ??
