FISCOBT5M Big-T Tape 5m

If you are thinking about getting this tape DO IT!!! The only thing you'll regret is not having done so sooner.The accuracy is better than any other tape I have ever used (I've been a Bench Joiner for 20+ years).From the rubberised hook, so it doesn't get bent, the softer coil action, so you can leave it on whatever you're measuring without it running away if you let go of it, to the flip out bit at the back for measuring internals by just adding 100mm to the measurement clearly indicated at the front of the tape (as long as you actually remember to add the 100mm... (You'll only forget to do it once, or four times when your fitting some really expensive Oak skirts)). It's all been thought about...And I haven't even mentioned the second best thing yet!!The clip is an absolute game changer... I haven't had to waste time looking for my tape for years!!! Pencils are a different story mind you. I can't imagine not having it there all the time now...But, above all these brilliant features... from the right angle... IT LOOKS LIKE MR T!!!(Presumably so you can Pity the Fool that doesn't have one)

Handy pull out part makes tape body 100mm so no math involved on measuring between things. Easy to use, seems well made. Only downside belt clip a bit chunky,but easily removed

Ordered one of these because of it's class 1 status, so obviously the first thing I set about was checking the tape for congruency with our 2m steel rule. In terms of basic measuremet, it was spot on. However, the fold down tab for inside measures seems to read 1mm short, which is not great. The pointers on the case are a great idea though, and if I add 99 instead of 100, it is fine. I wish it was correct though.The lock is firm and positive, it doesn't slip either. The spring inside the tape is strong enough, but won't pull the body of the tape along a table if you hook the end of the blade over the edge and let go.The tape extends easily and smoothly with the same pull all the way to 5m. The end of the blade is sturdy and around the edges is coated with soft rubber to prevent damage to laquered panels.The slide in the blade end is sopt on amd it is riveted on through clear plastic so you can see the markings all the way to the end.There is a massive plastic clip on the side of the tape for hooking it to a belt. Much of the clip is removable, however it leaves a large 5mm potrusion which makes pocketing the tape akward at best.Overall, a good tape, just a bit akward for pockets and slightly off for inside measures.

At north of £18 I thought it was a bit expensive for a tape measureHowever, I needed a new one for work and thought maybe I should go for it due it being a Class I (more accurate) and had very good reviewsIt is a joy to use and the belt clip is a real plusThinking of getting the 8M version as well

Fanatastic tape. We use them in our workshop. Class 1 guarantees accuracy. The Belem holster is great but the best feature is inside measurements system. Flip the extended pointer and measure accurately the inside measurements just 100mm and presto no guessing. The only thing I will negative is, after having 8 of these tapes still going with the guys, is the ends are fairly delicate, everyone of the tips except mine, has bent slightly due to use or abuse. Saying this, mine hasn't bent because I pay attention and don't abuse my tape like the guys do. Overall a great tape and accurate.

Accurate, great locking, great belt clip, brilliant tab fold out for internal measures.Crap quality tape and nose connection!! 6-8 months use and a perfectly solid tape body is useless as the tape tears and becomes unusable!! Shame!!!

Prefer a metric only tape and this is as good as any I have found.Will see how long it lasts but I usually miss place them before they break.

This tape is made to the highest quality, once you’ve had one of these no other tape will come close. It has a smooth action and is very accurate and easy to see, really good if your sight isn’t brilliant anymore. I would recommend this to anyone, it will last longer than a cheap tape measure and be a pleasure to use. And it’s made in the uk.
