Perfect fit, well engineered, does what they claim it does
Perfect fit, easy install and working better than I can remember: it holds a straight course. The SeaStar support line technician was very helpful ensuring I chose the helm system.

Worked well as replacement
Easy to install and worked as advertised. Have 150 hp merc. On20 ft boat. Still harder to steer to the left at high speed but no feefdback

Steers great, but you may have to get creative to use it!
The helm I replaced, also a telelflex that came on the boat, had a key that aligned with a slot in the steering wheel. This model has a slot in the place where there should have been a key. So I had two slots with nothing to hold the wheel in place on the helms spindle. I made a key out of some metal stock I had on hand, and hammered it into both slots locking the two together, and it works great. But the method used to secure the wheel was not listed in the specifications for this helm.
