Taylor swift references>>❤️
Also—thanks to Taylor Swift, for writing songs that feel like books.I started this book after seeing its playlist on an Instagram post and Taylor Swift's references which were cute! 😭✨But it was an okay-ish book. Cute moments here and there and that's it.

YA romance that has - witty banter, a valentine-gone-wrong, and a treacherous time loop
The Do-Over is a contemporary YA romance that has many things to offer – romance, teenage drama, witty banter, a valentine-gone-wrong, and a treacherous time loop that our protagonist Emilie Hornby cannot get out of.The book flows rather smoothly. It's fast-paced, decently entertaining, and has a bit of everything that you look forward to in a high school YA romance cum drama – witty banter, some great friendships, a little bit of teenage angst, a few mean girls, a nasty masochistic boy, and somewhere between all of these – a cute love story waiting to be unfurled.Don’t get me wrong, the book is really good. But perhaps, it is my fault that I had it benchmarked against the very best – Better Than the Movies. That book was really something, and this too is good, but it pales in comparison to the author’s finest. The characters are neither the best that I have read so far nor are they the forgettable sorts.

Trop mignon

Sweet, heartfelt Rom-Com
This book is about the 16 year old Emilie, who wants to have the perfect Valentines Day.And the charming yet gloomy looking Nick, who couldn't care less about this day.But when they meet each other, and in some ridiculous situations at that, both are not so sure if their perception about this day is the right one.I loved these two MCs. They are acting like their age (+ life experience), but they are still reasonable about their behaviour towards others. For example, Em sees her boyfriend kissing another girl, Macy. At sixteen, you think it's the worst feeling ever, because how dare he and what not. The consideration, if he doesn't kiss her in this time loop, then it didn't happen, is correct but futile. It shows that she is still just sixteen and learning about what she wants in life. Because you can think like that and if you happy with it, be my guest. But in my opinion, if you have to actively stop your boyfriend from kissing another girl, he doesn't deserve your time.So she deals with it but accordingly to a teenager. In the beginning I had some hesitation because of her age, because usually I like my FMCs a little bit older. More in the New Adult Genre but Emilie's age is not too pronounced and doesn't slip into childish.Nick is a charming young boy, who doesn't care about Valentines Day. He sees Em like she really is and doesn't entertain her antics about a 'perfect' day and leads her more to an 'happy' day.But read it for yourself and find out what I mean by that 😉This book has charme, quip and an adorable lovestory. So all in all 5 stars.
