A really good starting place for the beginner and onwards
I'm brand new to the sax I've got a Jupiter 500 tenor sax it came with 3.5 reeds, I've just upgraded my mouth piece to a Yamaha 5c tenor peice. So I thought I'd try these out at the same time just see if there were any differences. In my oppinion which is very limited lol the reeds are really nice they feel good theyre smooth and they came well packaged. As with playing I found they worked well with the original mouth peice but with the new one more control was needed. (It was just a bit easier to get a note an octave higher without using the octave key) So for me the 3.5 reeds in my new mouth peice seems to be a good starting set up.They've had a good few hours (weeks) of abuse and they've held up fine no splits/cracks or any cleaness lost from light steady notes. If these guys have these reeds in 3.5 maybe 4 then I'd have no problem getting them. Delivery and all was fine no problems there, I will be using them again I'm sure 😊

Nice sound
I prefer these over the Java but just personal taste. Good for big band playing as can change the response from ensemble to solo and good intonation in the higher range

Excellent quality, and they play well
I really like these reeds. I use the Vandoren ZZ Jazz reeds for my Alto and so it was a natural choice to continue with this make when I got my tenor saxophone. The reeds are individually wrapped and sealed in individual moisture proof wrappers which helps to keep them pristine until you want to use them. They each have a plastic cover which protects them from knocks when not in use during storage. These reeds have an individual character so they don't all play the same. However, the overall quality of the reeds means that they are reasonably consistent with each other. I find that they play quite well initially and improve with playing after a few days.I'm pleased with these tenor reeds

Needs a bit of getting used to, before loving it +++
Having been used to the standard Vadoren 2.5, switching to the ZZ reeds required abit of getting used to - in that it had an edgy smokey sound whereas the standard was just simple actual sound (to my ears at least).

Excellent Value
My Son is the saxophonist so I can only go on his feedback...... but apparently these are the only reeds to have! Happy to oblige !

These reeds sound so good that when I play I have to do so ...
These reeds sound so good that when I play I have to do so behind a barrier to save me from all the women who are driven wild with desire by my sexy-saxing.I have a picture of me holding these reeds in the drawer by my bed and when I want to get my wife in the mood I show it to her.

Good consistent reeds
These are what I use. They're consistent from reed to reed and box to box.

Perfect for the job
These are simply the nicest reeds I have used for my Sax. They are well suited to Jazz, and have a lovely tone.
