A fantastic, easy to install upgrade over the standard filtration of the V6 - helps remove smells and stops dirt from firing out of the back, which is an issue with these standard models. Only one screw and some clips and my Dyson is dramatically improved. I highly recommend this.

Fits and works just like the original.

This is a good retrofit for the old style V6 Animal that doesn’t have a removable exhaust filter assembly.However, I didn’t get the Motor Exhaust Diversion cover detailed in the pictures or the Crowbar. Good job I had a set of plastic car trim removal tools to hand…Also, don’t forget to remove the crosshead screw securing the Motor Rear Cover and I would advise also removing the screw to the battery and removing that before attempting removal. I found it easiest to start prising apart the Motor Rear Cover from down by the thin handle side and working up to the circular motor head myself, could get any purchase on just the latter initially.Also worthwhile taking the bin and cyclone apart (need a Tx8 bit) and giving them a good clean whilst you are at it. Beware of cleaning the easy removable filer and washing it BUT failing to let it dry 100% since if you do, then dust really does build up in it and can cause loss of power but more noticeably “smells”. Since cheap replaceable ones are available, I have learnt my lesson and bought some to clean and rotate into the unit.So, all in all, a good upgrade that I would definitely recommend but not quite as easy as described, especially if you don’t have the tools.

Had an original style V7 with a two part circular filter. The inner foam one just crumbled on removal whilst dismantly to clean it all up. This simply fits in place of original back piece and we now have a removable and replaceable hepa filter.Having dismantled and cleaned out the cyclone chamber our V7 has a whole new life ahead.

As a long-time owner / user of a Dyson stick vacuum, I have recently been plagued by the dreaded ‘pulsing’ syndrome, where the vacuum just pulses rather than vacuums. I stripped and cleaned the Dyson but decided to also upgrade the motor cover and filter for my device, hoping to enhance its performance and longevity. Here's my review based on my experience:Installation: Installing the upgraded motor cover and filter was surprisingly straightforward. The motor cover and filer came with instructions, and the parts are designed to fit seamlessly into place, ensuring a hassle-free installation process. Even for those who aren't particularly tech-savvy, replacing these components should pose no significant challenge – but to help there are plenty of Youtube videos showing how to complete this process step-by-step.Performance Improvement: Firstly, the dreaded pulsing syndrome was gone! The most noticeable difference after the upgrade was in the vacuum's performance. The new motor cover and filter definitely seemed to enhance the suction power, resulting in more efficient and effective cleaning It really did feel as though the vacuum had been revitalised to the point I think it is a good as when I first purchased it..Air Quality: The upgrade provided my Dyson with a HEPA filter (which is didn’t have before). I can’t say I have noticed any improvement in air quality during vacuuming, but hopefully the filter really is doing it’s job and is trapping more dust particles and allergens, preventing them from circulating back into the air. Assuming this is the case, this would be particularly beneficial for households with pets or allergy sufferers, as it helps maintain a cleaner and healthier indoor environment.Durability: While it's too early to comment on the long-term durability of these replacement parts, they seem to be of high quality and built to last. They appear to be the same quality as original Dyson parts – and once fitted I can’t tell they are not original manufacturer parts. The colours match perfectly.Value for Money: These parts were far cheaper than genuine Dyson replacement parts and as already mentioned, I can’t tell the difference. I believe these have given great value for money.

Simple enough to fit but, because of the type of twist fitting used, can come off too easily.

This replacement filter and head cover which ate not authorized by Dyson ate SUPERIOR to original Dyson equipment and well worth the money.Dyson vacuums are expensive and I’m not sure if they have better suction power than lesser costing non-Dyson units, but I know that they are not very durable; they use so-so parts; and they make it very difficult for owners to swap out batteries and parts.The head cover that came with the Dyson is dreadful in removing. Fortunately, this replacement head cover was easy to put on.The filter in the head cover supplied by Dyson is absolutely substandard. It’s foam that disintegrates. You would think that Dyson which overcharges for their products would use superior parts and filters - that is not the case.This filter is a “HEPA” type instead of cheap foam that Dyson uses. Much better!Ditch Dyson parts and buy this instead!

Zuerst war ich skeptisch und habe das Video auf YouTube mehrmals angesehen. Ich hatte mich nicht getraut, den Dyson mit der alten Motor- und Lüftungshaube aufzuschrauben.Aber dann fasste ich allen Mut zusammen und tatsächlich ging es ganz einfach, die neue Haube aufzusetzen und dann den Filter zu befestigen.Der alte Filter war inzwischen über die Jahre zugesetzt und bröselte auseinander, was dem Sauger auch Kraft genommen hatte.Eine gute Lösung.
