Muslim Teenagers Coping: With Parents, Family, Life, the Universe and Everything

I'm a committed Christian, but am interested in other faiths. I have great love for the Jewish people, and have read many interesting books about their beliefs and practices. I met two amazing Muslim women when I was hospitalized in Jerusalem (as a tourist), and in a short time felt a deep friendship with them. I've read their Sacred Book, and have read books about their religion, but I wanted to know more about what it was like to be Muslim. This book was written to help Muslim children understand their faith better, and how to be true to their faith. It also has some great advice on how to deal with the problems every teen faces - like parents! (We've all been there!). Excellent book for any Christian who wants to learn more about everyday life for someone who is following the precepts of Islam. If more people would read this book, maybe they would learn that, aside from our religious beliefs, we have much in common - the vast majority of people just want to live peaceful, joy-filled lives, centered on our families, our jobs and making the world a better place. Kudos to the author.

A very good resource to recommend to Muslim patents.

Bought this book for my teen sister who absolutly loves it...I think it kinda helps when parents are from different mind sets or cultural backgrounds to the children growing up in the west. It sets their head straight and makes them realise...no no your parents arent aliens its just that you have reached a very confusing milestone in your time thus you are feeling this way due to that..soon that will come to pass and you will realise everything your parents said had some wisdom behind it. Then again..havent we all gone through teenge years thinking we were right about everything..and the world was against us?!! Good book..good read
