BODUM Caffettiera 8 Cup French Press Coffee Maker, Off White, 1.0 l, 34 oz

I deliberately bought a Bodum having owned a larger version for 20+ years. I wanted a smaller cafetière for one cup coffee making. It has impressive build quality in comparison to a cheap Chinese Tesco version that I mistakenly purchased before and broke! The Bodum product is exactly what I was looking for, superb.

Does what it says on the tin.I’ve used it everyday for a week now and I have no concerns for it.It arrived in great condition and is still in that way.You can remove the glass container from the metal stand for easy cleaning.The only thing I will say is that it can’t hold ‘three cups’. I measure out every time and that fills about 3/4 of the container.UPDATEplease be careful when washing. My partner was washing the glass with a sponge and it unexpectedly shattered and sliced the side of her hand down to the bone. She has needed to operate due to the depth of the cut.I do not think it’s the fault of the item but please be cautious as the glass is VERY thin.

It is not as sturdy as I expected - it is very lightweight and I worry about knocking it over or banging the glass against something. Our earlier ones, a different design and plastic not metal, were much sturdier and I felt I could "wave them about." I wouldn't with this one. I treat it with care!That said, it is very good so long as you remember not to treat it roughly,, and performance is even better than the type we had earlier. To look at it is delightful, no question.But 3 warnings. The glass will fall out if you even just tilt the gadget. You must hold it at all times. So when moving it about, keep it upright. When you pour the coffee, hold the gadget with both hands, this is essential - one holding the handle, the other holding the top of the plunger firmly down inside the glass, or the glass will fall out. And when you wash it out, you can do so with the glass in or out, but in the latter case again hold with care so glass can't fall out.We found with our earlier type that the glass would not fall out when the contents were hot, and indeed it soon became difficult to get the glass out of its plastic holder so that cleaning the whole thing properly including shining the glass was something one didn't do every time and this would lead to making it even harder to separate the two parts as they became a bit "mucky" - frustrating. Hence partly why I bought this different design now with the metal holder instead of plastic and so long as you are careful of the glass, it cleans very easily and quickly indeed and stays looking pristine.So it depends what you want! Would I buy this again rather than our earlier type? I think I'd seek a compromise - more sturdy than this one, but not the plastic again as it's not so attractive.

It makes a good cup of ground coffee very easy.

V easy to use

Overall this is an adequate french press. It does not make 3 cups as claimed but it does make 1 large size mug which suits me. The plastic lid is not great as it will not sit well but overall it is good enough.

Really like this product,it came on time well wrap makes a great cup of coffee,like drinking coffee in Paris. Highly recommended

This makes excellent coffee, but be aware that it is very small and to say three cups is very optimistic. Three tiny expresso cups perhaps, but hardly a tea-cup, and definitely not even a small mug. I am returning mine with regret, but the 8 cup size for a couple of mugs of coffee.

This coffee grinder is perfect for a couple or small family. We really like the classic french esthetic style and how it also upgrades our vintage inspired kitchen. I’m very impressed with the color pop of color and the low maintanance of the press. Its very easy to make coffee in less than 5 minutes of our day. We have been saving so much money making delicious coffee at home. The price is a little more expensive than most coffee presses found in stores, but this is not a cheap press and worth the extra bucks. Great purchase!

We’ll it makes a perfect cup of coffee it is 32 oz. which is 4 cups not 8 so be aware that is misleading.

Både trevlig och fungerar mest bra.Men, ett litet obs. Man måste då och då justera kanten på filter-delen innan man ska använda pressen. Annars kan det rinna över när man ska trycka ner pressen. Det problemet har jag inte med min andra motsvarande kaffe-press. Men i övrigt är Bodum-pressen jättebra.
