Good product, service and price
Proper compostable (rather than just biodegradable) bags and liners seem quite hard to source locally and the prices are high. If, like us, your local authority (East Dorset) has gone over to separate food waste and recycling, then you'll probably need them to help keep your bins and caddys clean and avoid smells.I did a fairly extensive search for the smaller caddy liners when our waste collection changed recently, and these were by far the best price (others better headline prices but then kill you on delivery costs, unless you find someone that truly doesn't charge multiple P&P for multiple rolls). I'd prefer to buy locally, but the only ones we found were going on twice the price. These fit perfectly in our kitchen caddy and, I should say, delivery was prompt and without problems.

Good liners and an easy way of purchasing
Good caddy liners at a good price. The bags are not gusseted and so feel quite roomy, exactly right for my small kitchen food caddy. For me, though, the real bonus was being able to get hold of the liners so simply and quickly without having to make an out of the way shopping trip. I am assuming the spare rolls of liners will remain viable in the cupboard whilst they are in storage.

Good replacement for original bags provided by Croydon Council
Croydon Council provided residents with individual compostable bags presented in a sealed plastic outer bag. The heap of bags had to be kept in order, and one carefully removed each week to place in the kitchen food waste caddy. The size of those bags was a little on the small side, but the top stretched over the top edges of the caddy and gripped well. The bottom of those bags was sealed across the base.In contrast, these All-Green 8 Litre bags are better presented. It is easier to tear off a new bag from the end of the roll. The base of each bag is gathered together somewhat, so the bag spreads out from its base to fit the volume of the caddy reasonably well. The top of the bag is more generous than the Council supplied bags, which means that the fit is looser. As a consequence of this, you need to take care when adding waste food to the caddy that the top of the bad does not get dragged down into the caddy. In this respect the bags lose one star.Removal of the bag from a full caddy is easier with these All-Green bags because of the more generous size. There is also more bag left at the top for tying the contents firmly together. In summary: overall a very good caddy liner with many advantages over the original supplied by the Council, but slightly loose around the rim of the caddy. Recommended.

Perfect for the job
Purchased these caddy liners as our area has just started a food waste uplift. They arrived lightning fast and are perfect for the caddy. It is great to be able to use compostable liners now. The food bin itself is kept so clean with no spillage of waste food to produce nasty smells. Coupled with fact there is a weekly uplift now of the food bins it is a convenient and "greener" system. The bin liners are excellent and essential to make the system work perfectly. Our household bin also benefits the bulk of general refuse has gone down and even better there is no rotting food to decompose over our fortnightly uplift.

Great bags, I use these for the messy stuff and old newspaper for things like peelings.
I was very impressed with these bags.It irks me that we have to pay for them rather than have them supplied by the local authority but thats the way it is and there is nothing I can do about it.Buying them in bulk like this works out a much cheaper way to buy them and they are good size in my opinion. The bags I buy from one of the local stores when stuck are much too big and often split when used to 3/4 capacity and the whole point of using them useless.I much prefer to put out the waste in smaller bags.I don't use these bags for all my food waste as I find it more cost effective to use the bags for really messy food stuff but for things like potato peelings etc I wrap them up in old newspaper.

It's what our Council specifies, but frustrated with tying-up arrangements.
Ordered these on the diktat of Barnet Borough Council (can't use supermarket plastic bags) which has just re-organised its waste collection services at massive expense and says we can't put food waste in with garden rubbish any longer. They have given us small brown bins for the kitchen and slightly larger outdoor ones into which we decant these eco-approved bags. Apart from the problem of where to site the bin in an already overcrowded kitchen there is a continuing frustration with these bags slipping off the rim of the bin so that the unobservant may not realise that he/she is depositing food partly down the inner sides of the bin. The further annoyance is that these liners have no shaped top ends to facilitate tying, and if the contents have reached more than about halfway it is very difficult to gather two corners and tie into a bow. Much more thought needs to go into this aspect. However as I bought so many I guess I can afford to use them at only one third capacity. One caveat - I haven't tried other brands of bags, so don't know whether they all offer the same annoyances.

Excellent fit and value
The trial bags supplied by the local council were useless; too small and flimsy, and fell apart as soon as they were full. These are perfect. They are a little larger in capacity that the standard mini compost bin distributed by the council, so there is ample room to lap over the edges of the bin to anchor the bag. The star design at the bottom of the bag means it is very strong and can be filled to capacity. None has yet split. They are also excellent value if bought in bulk.

Not robust enough
These bags are forever splitting so I'm having to use 2 or 3 at a time and empty them more frequently. For years I have had 2 food waste bags in my caddy bin weekly now it's more like 4 or 5. I've now decided to line my inside caddy with 2 bags to start with. Very wasteful and uneconomical.
