I live in a rental with very limited overhead lighting in the living room and kitchen---one old ceiling fan and once glass flush mount. The light switches were not thought out very well and since it is a rental and I cannot "officially" hardwire anything, I bought these based on a whim.So, I purchased 4 of the smaller version and 4 of the larger version for under counter use. I used the provided hardware to mount them here. It's not even hardware, just a metal bracket with adhesive on one side. The auto setting is perfect. The light stays on long enough and if you position them properly, they will light in sequence as you move. They stay on as long as you are moving plus a little time to, say open the refrigerator, get a drink, put something in the refuse bin and then allow you to leave the area- they quietly turn off in the reverse sequence. These things are neat.My primary reason for writing this is to demonstrate their versatility (thus the headline) AND a simple hack that will work for renters.First, my apartment opens directly to the parking lot and the door is reinforced metal. These are magnetic. Snap it on in seconds to light your way once inside. Could actually snap it onto the outside between the storm door (if you have one) and regular door as a substitute to using porch light.Second, return air vents on the ceiling are metal and they are passive. Snap one on for overhead room lighting.Third, look at the pics. I am a craftsman by trade and I am probably like the guy you know who can figure out most anything….except women.… and found metal "L" brackets. I put them in vise and bent them on one end and slipped them between the molding above a door and the wall. No marks, no adhesive necessary. When you move out it looks as if nothing was there. When you approach the door, since they are now angled (as opposed to completely horizontal) the light emits in a pattern that spreads differently.You can do this above every door, on every metal door, on the refrigerator...look above and you will see something somewhere where you don't even need the adhesive. That's the best thing.Since they have lithium batteries and have plastic I wouldn't stick them to anything that gets hot i.e. water heater, furnace, etc., or anything outside for obvious reasons. I just thought of this---they could be used on the inside of the raised hood of a vehicle to jump start the battery, do minor work, etc., or even stick to the outside of the car for emergency tire change/visibility.I hear one of my led ceiling fan lights in my bedroom crackling. It is getting ready to go out.I will order more.Hope this helps.Revision. The "NIGHT" setting is what I meant to say.

From the time it took me to open the package and install it maybe took 4 minutes. Ridiculously quick. The metal clamps are magnetic and have an adhesive on them, so you unpeel the sticker, place them wherever you want, and then the lights slide onto the clamps. So easy and the lighting isn't too bright or annoying. They are on a motion detector, so they turn on and off when you walk by. I placed mine underneath my kitchen cabinets to light up the counters and they work SO much better than the battery lights I purchased a few years ago. No more batteries to waste and no more $$$$ spent on something else we don't need. They charge up quickly with the cord that comes with it. I'll probably buy more for the dreaded laundry room;)

We ordered these for our golf cart. They are AWESOME! They come with self adhering metal mount which you can place anywhere you want and the light magnetically sticks to the mount. We placed the mount on the front of our golf cart to use as a head light at night - It works great! The light is super bright and lasts a long time before you have to recharge it. Since my boy never turns off the light in his closet, I'm going to remove the light fixture and stick one of these on the ceiling and set it to motion-detect...Should pay for itself in no time!

I put one in our laundry room and one over our kitchen sink. So we have light as soon as we open the laundry room door and over the kitchen sink whenever we walk into the kitchen at night. I turn it off during the day and set it to "auto" at night just to save charging time.I found that if I leave it on auto all the time (in the kitchen) I end up recharging after just three, maybe four days, which became annoying.We do laundry about once a week and I haven't had to charge the one in laundry room yet and it's been about three weeks now. And my lady loves it!

We bought a cottage that doesn't have much light in the kitchen. We bought these to put under the cabinets. They work great. They are really easy to install. The brackets are attached to the cabinet (they are sticky) and the lights are held into the brackets with a magnet. You just pop them down to charge them, change the setting, etc. This isn't our primary home so we aren't sure how long they last before they need to be charged but so far so good!

Purchased this to be mounted (magnet) to a metal screen door on my patio. When I leave in the morning it is very dark out still. I don't want to have the patio light on all day (switch is inside) but want to be able to see the keyhole without needing a flashlight. This turns on as soon as the door opens and gives enough light to easily lock up. Also nice if I go out in the evening - motion sensor picks up my movement about 20' from the door and the light goes on. This is not intended as a security light, but does the trick for illuminating an area when needed.

I tried several other under cabinet lights that just didn't do the job for me. These lights sense body heat approaching to turn on. The light is bright and has settings for always on, auto shut off and even a night light mode. They are rechargeable but I have them plugged in to avoid the possibility of needing a charge while in the middle of cooking. The good thing is that all the options exist. I am very pleased with this choice and highly recommend this product.

I bought this to use in my cabinet in the prayer hall. The sensor works great and solves the purpose. It was super easy to install and the magnetic stick is a great idea that enables us to install without any hassles.It comes with on/off, auto and night modes. Since it is convenient to keep it in auto mode, I set it in auto mode. The light works great and the sensor works great as well but the charge lasts for only one week in auto mode. One week is too short IMO.
