Veet Face Cold Wax Strips for Normal Skin, Pack of 20

Got these to wax off my eyebrows. No probs at all. Make sure to sit the strips on the radiator first off to soften the wax. Apply to wherever and smooth down firmly and then pull in opposite direction of hair growth. It does sting a bit but hey beauty’s painful! Use one of the wipes after to remove excess wax and moisturise. These are fab.

WOW Finally took the plunge and so glad I did. They are so easy to use. It’s a kind of Gel not a wax. It doesn’t really hurt just a slight sensation. I have been looking at options for years and wished I had used these before. It hurts far far less than plucking. Just pull hard. I had a slight redness but going now. There are 2 sides to each strip and the gel is easily removed from your skin with the face wipes included. I used a normal face wipe afterwards as the ones in the box are quite oily. I have been a sceptic and a coward - not any more - SO PLEASED

Love these strips and have used them for years on my sensitive skin on my upper lip and eyebrows. They're easy to use – I usually use in the morning or the evening and it takes 3-4 mins to get rid of the hair on my upper lip. They smell alright, and store quite well for several months. I usually cut them in half as they're quite big for my upper lip, and re-apply 2-3 times as they are still quite sticky after the first go. They're not messy at all so I prefer them to regular wax, and they hurt a lot less than threading.My only warnings are: if you have very sensitive skin, use some powder on your skin before applying, it keeps you from snagging at the skin and ripping it off. DONT use this if you're on Roaccutane (acne meds) or other medicine that weakens the skin. And be very careful and pull close to the skin and not away from your face.

They remove hair ok but i dont think they re suitable for sensitive skin. Each time i use them on my upper lip i get these marks like it ripped some of my skin as well and i dont really have sensitive skin. Meh, the marks go away after 1 2 days and they re still the cheapest ones i can find so i ll keep on using them until a better alternative comes up.

Does what they say they do, gets rid of the hairs effectively

I was so disappointed with these that I felt obliged to write a review. Firstly, although the box says "20 strips" it is actually 10 and they count the sticky residue of the strips when you pull them away from their cover as second strip. If you imagine pulling a Velcro strip apart then Veet would sell that as being two strips.Now down to the important part - they don't work. I tried on several types of facial hair from peach fuzz to eyebrow edges, stray head hairs (there's always one that grows further down from the hairline) and even whiskers. It didn't remove any of them. What it did do is leave behind a nasty sticky residue that took quite a bit of scrubbing with a flannel to remove (I never usually scrub if possible). It also pulled at the skin which left it stinging and red.For something so sticky I was surprised when it didn't actually work. It was a bit like using electrician's tape on the face. I had lightly exfoliated this afternoon so my face was smooth and dead skin free, glowing nicely and without sensitivity. Now I feel like I've been badly sunburnt in the areas I used the strips. My face feels really hot too.I got these based on reviews and their suitability for sensitive skin. I would recommend that you look for other options if you don't want to take risks or look like you have bad rosacea afterwards.

I don’t understand the issues people have had with these I always use these and find them fantastic you get what you pay for, as these are the higher end of the market on wax strips it’s worth paying for them as they have always worked wonders for me and have no complaints. I have sensitive skin but I haven’t had any issues using these now or in the past. I’ve never attempted my eye brows with them but always use them for upper lip hair without complaints and never had any hair left in places when using these. I’ve always rubbed the strip to warm it ever so slightly before using them and it’s always worked fantastic.

I have purchased this product many times from High Street stores but as they did not have in stock I bought through Amazon. The product arrived on time, outer Amazon packaging in tact and had no problems, but the inner box was flattened and open both ends. I carefully applied the first strip as per instructions and when I pulled off the wax strip I was left with a red and very sore upper lip, appearance is almost like a 'graze'. As I mentioned, I have used this same brand/product many times but never had this happen before, however the wax on the strips is much gloopier and thicker than usual. Not sure what the prob is.
