Many experts say that lack of exercise is a leading cause of hyperactive and destructive behavior in dogs. This item works by converting the natural prey drive instinct in dogs into exercise as they attempt to catch the lure by sprinting, changing direction and jumping. The dogs went crazy chasing the lure. Also works great as a training tool and provides the mental exercise dogs need. The stretchable wand with a rope which is funny and preventing accidental scratching wherever possible. The stretchable design save space and easy to take out. Fun chase toy
I bought this for my 3kg poodle and my 18kg Staffy, they both love playing with it (tho not at the same time). It is good quality for the price and the 'wand' is strong enough that it doesn't bend/break easily. I agree with the item description and reviews that this is not a 'tug' toy, it is a 'chase' toy, but it was easy to train the Staffy to catch, then release (not tug). We only have a small back yard, but 10 mins of chasing this around there tires both the Staffy and the poodles.Great addition to our dog toy box - recommended

Dangerous
Used only twice when one of the telescopic segments broke off and hit my dog full force in the face. Luckily there was no injury, however if you look at other one star reviews this is a frequent occurrence and some poor dogs have actually been injured by these things. It does however state that this is not intended for tug-of-war type activity however all it takes is for your dog to get overexcited and give it a good tug as my pooch did and then you could have problems. My dog is a border terrier so not a big breed at all. I would avoid these at all costs. You wouldn’t buy a toy that was dangerous for your child so why buy a toy that’s dangerous for your dog.

Great Fun with Border Collie!
I broke my leg recently so I have been unable to go out and play with my border collie so I bought this to try to exhaust her a bit... It's great fun! I tie a balloon to the end of the tug and she chases it to kill it! She's not a great tugger and is very gentle so I've never had an issue with my pooch breaking it or tugging too hard. If anyone has any mobility issues and needs a good chase game for their dog, I definitely recommend this one with a balloon tied to the end!

This toy gives the dog a great game and good exercise and this can be achieved ...
This toy gives the dog a great game and good exercise and this can be achieved in a relatively small space, twisting and jumping or a fun bit of racing in large circles. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it.The only downside, I now find is that the telescopic handle breaks fairly easily. I am continuing to use the toy but only with a stumpy, short bit to hang on to until I get some strong tape. Still pleased with it as my dog races to play but would like to see a stronger version.

Dangerous
This toy was shredded to bits by my 13 week old Shihpoo puppy which resulted in phenomenal pain for weeks and endless vets visits resulting in a very expensive bill and my poor puppy crippled when passing poop!!!

This is great. If you are feeling lazy
This is great. If you are feeling lazy, just spend 10 minutes with the dog on the lawn playing with this - it wears him out and he loves it. My miniature poodle is very energetic, but even he gets worn out in 10 minutes or so playing with this. Your dog needs to understand 'wait', 'go' and 'leave it' (or similar commands).

Great interactive toy
This is great for a game of chase in the garden. My 8 month old labradoodle loves playing with it. Particularly good for a when you've just got a few minutes (he's fit, but is still panting in no time.)

Favourite toy EVER
My little 9 weeks old Labrador is full of energy and needs a lot of attention. He has been playing with it nonstop. It’s not only very handy it’s also really practical to use when needing very little efforts!
