BatesMen's Sentry Lux Oxford High Gloss

The shoes are nice, but please note that these are the WOMEN’S version of the Bates Sentry shoes. The listing is mislabeled here at Amazon and says they are the men’s version. If you go to the Bates website, you can see that the “lux” version (which these are) are for women. The version that does not have “lux” in the name is for men. The men’s version, notably, does not have a cushioned collar around the shoe opening like these have.I just bought these for myself (I’m a man). As soon as I took them out of the bag, I immediately could tell they were too small before I even put them on. They felt at least a full size too small. After some investigating, I figured out Amazon just messed up the listing.I returned these shoes and purchased the correct men’s version. Note that the listing for the men’s version here at Amazon is likewise mislabeled and says it’s the women’s version. Oddly, for both versions, after you add them to your shopping cart, the listing in your cart changes and correctly shows which gender they are intended for.

Very high quality but still too expensive

For some reason, the sizes of this product are inaccurate. I ordered a size 9, and it felt like an 8—poor sizing from the manufacturer. I had to return.

For over 30 years, these shoes have been excellent purchases for both my military and civilian careers! I am ALWAYS pleased with these shoes.
