Brilliant!
My neighbour-come good friend introduced me to Baby Einstein by lending me her Baby Beethoven DVD, and what a star she is! I can't rate the Baby Einstein DVD's enough, they are without doubt a godsend. Whatever time of day, whatever mood my little boy Joe is in, he is absolutely captivated by the images and music that goes with them. Although my little man is an extremely active baby (now 7 months, DVD purchased at 5 months)he sits very still in his rocker chair and can't take his eyes from the screen! It might seem amateur-ish, but don't be fooled... just watch your baby's face as they watch the DVD! The puppets are fun and I like the variety of toys that are used; most people just couldn't afford to buy all the toys that are shown within such a short space of time, and the 'show' is edited so that each clip is just the right length to keep holding babe's captivation and interest. I love this DVD because it means I can have a half an hour to myself, whether it's doing housework or just having a rest and cup of tea for a few minutes! Plus I also find it really useful as part of Joe's bedtime routine as it calms him down after a hard days play, and seems to unwind him before his bath and bed. My neighbour who originally lent me her DVD to try, still plays it now for her 2 1/2 year old boy, so it's not the sort of product that your little one will grow out of within a short space of time. For all these reasons I highly recommend Baby Beethoven and would say it is fantastic value for money.

Doesn't grasp the attention of my granddaughter
There is no verbal communication but just music playing and images going across the screen. It just didn't grab the attention of my one-year-old granddaughter in the same way as Peppa Pig!!

Captivating for Babies
This is another excellent video from Baby Einstein. My 10 month old son adores Baby Mozart, and took a couple of days to be as interested in this one, being new and unfamiliar. It is more structured than Baby Mozart, but otherwise very similar. Now he loves it, especially, once again, the puppet show parts. I can't recommend these videos highly enough. I'm about to buy some of the others as they have been such a success for us.One word of warning; none of these videos is particularly appealing to an adult mind so don't be put off until you have seen how your baby reacts. Every baby we know who has watched one of our videos is captivated.

My baby loves these
I have no idea what it is about the baby einstein series but babies seem to love them - they are so simple and when I let my baby watch it for the first time I thought she would be bored. However after playing it to her for the first time at 4months, it still gets the same reaction now at 7 months, she is glued to the screen and little face lights up with excitement. I'm very strict with TV and don't let her watch anything except this, I feel fine with the baby einstein series as they seem very educational (lights, colours, classical music). If she is ever fussy and I can't satisfy her I put this on and she is all smiles :-)

The best (of the composers range)
Baby Beethoven takes the original concept devloped in Baby Mozart to a new high. OK, one might argue that the concept involves marketing of different brands and types of toys, but that should not detract from the concept that young ones tend to love these DVDs.The "subtitles" indicating the different symphonies are very helpful, with the dog/duck chase in the Eroica Symphony particularly appealing to our young son. There is perhaps nothing to beat "Wellington's Victory" with the puppetry being excellent. What a great finale with the 9th, and the young children "playing at" playing their respective toy instruments.

baby Beethoven
2 weeks ago I bought my baby girl, now 8 eight months old, the Baby Beethoven, Baby Bach and Baby Einstein videos. She enjoys watching Baby Mozart best and also likes Baby Bach, but I'm afraid Baby Einstein does not keep her attention for long. As a qualified linguist, I also question the uncontextualized use of foreign languages on the video: watching and hearing people count and say the alphabet in various languages while watching a static flower or other picture has no purpose, really, and will most probably not encourage language acquisition. While I would recommend Baby Mozart and Baby Bach, I would not do so for Baby Einstein.

An absolute must for any baby!
I cant recommend this DVD enough. A friend told me to buy it because she said it has her little one mesmerised for the whole DVD, i was sceptical but can now say it definitely works! It seems to really capture my little ones attention and she sits there for the whole half an hour quietly watching it, giving me time to do the household chores or have a shower! The music and images on screen to an adult are a bit repetitive but she loves them so its fine!I am now buying more and more from the range of baby einstein DVD's.

A godsend!
I was recommended this DVD by a friend as my 3 month old catnaps all day and doesn't sleep. I personally think it's badly recorded and it looks like a home video, however she loves it and is enthralled by it. I can get somthing done while she watches it! Music is good on it too!
