Heavyweight, suitable for use with adhesive, great design
I needed a soap dispenser to fit my Method soap that I could glue onto my porcelain tiles, as even diamond drill bits struggle to get through them. I actually mistakenly thought this came with adhesive (based on an older review) so purchased it based on that. It doesn’t, just screws, but glad I made the mistake. It IS suitable to use with adhesive (flat back plate) and my plumber used a special glue with aerosol activator and it’s solid. Beautiful, heavyweight pump that has a lovely, smooth action. Oddly satisfying to use. Simple, good design like this makes me very happy.

You may get what you pay for.
This was my review 5 years ago.Excellent quality, well finished and solid. The pump action mechanism works well but only time will tell with respect to longevity. Fitting is relatively straight forward but drilling 3 holes fairly close together in hard material (in my case porcelain tiles) can be a bit of a challenge. These dispensers are expensive but look 100 times better than many others I have seen. This is my review SEP 2020:Have downgraded this to 'Average'. The Chrome coating has now started to rust and is, of course, spoiling the look of this product. It has always been quite difficult to clean the pump head once it has been screwed to the wall so I echo what another reviewer mentioned which is that this could be designed to be a lot easier to remove and maintain.I like the fact that it is made in the UK but unfortunately it does not seem to be made all that well. I will soon need to replace this as the rust can only get worse. Was it worth £29 for a 5 year life ? Maybe.....but actually I would rather pay more and have it made of best quality material so that it lasts 10,15 years rather than have to go through the trouble of fitting a replacement AND having to add to the rubbish tip (I have some German made chrome bathroom fittings which are over 10 years old and still 'as new') ! Based on longevity I can now only rate this as average.

Nowhere Near As Good As It Used To Be
I first bought one of these in 2012 and it is the Bee's Knees of soap dispensers. I bought two more 18 months ago and these are falling apart already. Apparently the manufacturer has changed the design since 2012.The first model is still working perfectly, but the later two are useless.I'm now looking for better quality replacements.

Exceptional customer service
Very nice heavy pump dispenser, exudes quality, looks great. In addition, I accidentally trimmed the soap tube too short and asked hornbeam ivy whether I could purchase a spare and the cost inc p&p. They immediatly sent me two free spares. .what a nice company, old fashioned customer service, would defiantly recommend.

Absolutely stunning!!
These are superb quality - I bought one for soap and immediately ordered another for hand cream. I was a little worried that a couple of bottles would look disappointingly naff on the wall in our swanky new bathroom, instead of some kind of fancy dispenser. But not a bit of it, they look gorgeous - chunky, solid, shiny, chrome which is just begging to be touched. I couldn't fit a small Molton Brown bottle, nor one by Celestial. But Champney's fit, and so do my pretty matching pair of long bottles from M&S. The spouts easily swivel too and do not drip. I LOVE them!!!

Quality is better than the pictures can show
It came more robust and a better build quality expected. a good chrome finish an a three hole mounting bracket so that a good wall fixing can be achieved. The threaded attachment is well suited for plastic bottles although you will only get one length of rubber suction straw to cut so the first bottle you buy will be the set size you will have to continue buying. It is an ideal solution to secure a dispenser when you do not have the room of shelf space to accommodate. Our WC cloackroom downstairs is a small room and we have our one mounted to one side above the sink so that any drips from it land in the sink (children use). It has a good spring return on the pump and does not drip when used properly.

Better than described
Currently on my second one as the first one literally fell apart in my hands on delivery. However was quickly replaced. Sturdy and much better than described as the picture looks plastic. My only problem is that the top squirting nozzle doesn't seem to attach to the base so can be lifted out making a mess. It works fine but I can see this being an issue with children.

Really great. I recommend without reservation!
I bought this having read other reviews and although at first glance I thought this was expensive. In point of fact for what it is it is really but having now seen the build quality it is worth the money. A simple design that works with every bottle I have for soap including popular and some obscure. The product is heavy and exudes quality in my opinion. I really like the fact you can mount with three screws (Supplied) and not just one or two as with others. Once up is very sturdy.I will absolutely be buying a couple of others now for the en suite and bathroom!
