The tables at my local bar (Cole's in DTLA, try the French dip!) have mechanical cue ball excluders, so they use a larger cue ball. Naturally, it's harder to control shot angle, speed, English, etc. when the cue ball is bigger and more massive than the other balls, so it's less than ideal. Then somebody discovered that the tables have magnetic excluders too (they just didn't want to pay for more expensive magnetic cue balls, so I decided to try one of these. Works perfectly and it functions as well on the table as any cue ball.

This magnetic cue ball works well in valley pay tables. I would recommend it especially at the price.

Magnet is non existent or way too weak. Might as well be a paperweight.

These balls will do the trick all right.

The size and weight are the same as any other cue ball. This one seems like it is an off white. Off white works fine for me. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because it doesn’t always go to the cue ball return. I’d say 1 in 10 times it ends up in the ball return side instead of the cue ball side. If I has the quarter machine pool table, this would be a much bigger issue, but I took my quarter mechanism out of my table so it is not as big of an issue.

It’s a little heavy to me I haven’t tried shooting with it yet but jus holding it feels slightly heavier than a practice ball
