Despite all the bad publicity regarding butter and saturated fats, I think it's a more natural food source than the butter like spreads that are on sale. I wanted a butter dish so that I can leave it out and use butter on sandwiches as well as toast. My first choice was a ceramic one that matched my tea, coffee and sugar canisters, however I never got to use it as I dropped it whilst removing the packaging.. oops!The retro look of this dish caught my eye, its simple and fun. I also like the flat part at the bottom with the cover that clips on over the top because you don't create a gully as you do with some of the other designs. It's easy to keep clean by simply hand washing it, and because it's plastic it's less likely to break if I drop it. I also like the fact that the top clicks on securely.. being unbreakable and impenetrable were high on my list of requirements now that my bin-robbing puppy has grown tall enough to reach on top of the work surfaces!

We didn't want a glass as it could break easily, so we wanted an alternative to healthy options such as free from plastic. Washed it in dishwasher and in the sink everytime works perfect. We're very happy with it.

I love this butter dish and throughly recommend it. It’s not as robust as I thought, the plastic is very delicate, but at least it’s more robust than ceramic and glass, and repairable with clear tape, but as soon as one small crack appears from one drop, the rest follow quickly from normal use. If you buy one, treat it like ceramic and you’ll have a fantastic looking dish for a long time. Won’t hesitate to buy another, and this time, treat it with more care.

Not very well made this item broke after only one use, tried to contact supplier for a replacement with no luck.What a waste of money.

This butter dish is very large and good quality but it was too big for what I needed so I had to send it back for a refund

This is so functional and cute. The kids latches on so it can be picked up easily. The cow on top helps the lid from being “invisible “ for my mom with failing eye sight.

Ich hatte die Butterdose bereits in einem örtlichen "Designer-Discounter" gekauft.Mir gefiel das Design. Praktisch die Klippverschlüsse! Die Butter fällt also nicht direkt auf den Fußboden, falls die-geschlossene- Dose runterfällt.Ein Stern Abzug für die Haltbarkeit: Es ist KEIN unkaputtbares Plastik. Mir sind mittlerweile zwei Eckchen abgebrochen/abgeplatzt. Sie "funktionier" trotzdem noch !
