As an experienced artist I was pretty sceptical that this brush would be much use, but bought to try, to lighten my field sketching kit. I was surprised and pleased with the results. I bought the large size which would compare with a number 6 in traditional brush sizes. It comes in two parts - one half is the water barrel which you fill and seal with the plastic button provided. The other half is the brush with its cap, which fits nicely on the barrel during use, to make it long enough to hold comfortably. The technique is slightly different to traditional brushes, and you have to remember to give the barrel a squeeze from time to time to maintain water flow, but it is a good enough tool to produce a proper painting. The brush hairs are nylon which means it doesn't 'point' well, but for £2.99 it's well worth buying for an afternoon's sketching, without having to carry water and a dipper.It's a month later and I was so pleased with this item I bought the small size brush - equivalent to about a normal no 2 - which does have a good point for de tailed work. These brushes are also excellent used with watercolour pencils. Highly recommended.

i love it, no more knocking pots of water over when i'm painting out and about!have triedother brands but find koi is the nicest brush

l have been surching the house for the past two days to find my brushes but must have a black hole so had to buy another as l love love this product.

Excellent arrived in good time, dont have to worry about carrying a pot of water under and down the stairs.

As water brushes go the reservoir is small but overall it makes up for this by splitting into 2 sections that are easy to pack into the smallest of kits.

Doesn't drip!!!
