High grade premium “culinary” matcha at a great price!
Amazon had never shown me this tea before in my many matcha searches. Had I seen the Fakespot rating I might not have bought it, but it really is surprisingly good for the price, good enough as an everyday matcha without anything added. As an Urasenke Tea Ceremony practitioner, I take the quality of my tea seriously. True it has a bright green color, which is a promising indicator of quality! Many reviews mention there is no bitterness. Perhaps because it took two days from the time it was allegedly delivered to show up near my door, probably thanks to the neighbor it may originally have been delivered to, this tea IS bitter. But there is good bitter, and “this is awful” bitter. This leans much more to good bitter. Even some expensive ceremonial matchas have a quite appealing “good” bitter. It’s as good as much more expensive premium culinary matchas! It really is good enough to have as an everyday matcha, with nothing but good filtered water added. Only 1/2 teaspoon needed if You are drinking only 2 1/2 oz of matcha.Always make sure you eat something before drinking plain matcha. Even top quality matcha can upset your stomach if you drink it on an empty stomach. The grind is fine, and mixes well. The packaging shows they care about the quality of tea. To keep the quality better longer, since it is a rather large amount, and each time you open the container the oxygen and humidity exposure degrades the quality of any matcha, I put some of it in a much smaller Mylar foil pouch, and open and close that pouch. Then refill that pouch, closing that pouch tightly with rubber bands, then putting it in a 1oz matcha tea tin. Then put the original pouch back in the fridge after squeezing all the air out of it, folding it over, and sealing it.As with any tea, the quality of the water you use greatly effects the taste. Any tea needs minerals in the water to better bring out the flavor of the tea. So distilled water and reverse osmosis water, which removes minerals, should not be used.Nor do you ever use boiling water with matcha, nor any green tea, nor herbal infusion that has essential oils. Only lightly simmering, small bubble water. My normal everyday matchas have declined greatly in quality, so this is now better than they are, and one of them costs three times as much! The other is unavailable.Let us pray they maintain their quality! What a great and unexpected discovery!

Nice smooth taste
This bright green Matcha powder mixes well with water and other liquids. It has a nice smooth taste, with a bitter tea flavor that is quite obvious if you use a little too much. A little goes a long way.

Beautiful color and fresh taste.
This matcha is good quality for the price. Doesn't smell or taste "fishy" as some others I've tried. I have probably tried 20 culinary grade of different brands of matcha in the last five years. This one is in the top 5 at least, maybe better. As long as the price and quality holds fairly steady I will continue to buy this one.

Good quality Matcha!
It tastes mild and doesn't leave any bitterness after drinking it. The color is beautiful. I guess it means good young tea leaves are used to make this tea. I want drink this tea every morning, and I just take one small tea spoon (I use tiny bamboo spoon) of this matcha and put hot water. I recommend this matcha to everyone who wants to try matcha for the first time.

Smells good but
It tastes like seaweed and not matcha the color is bright green but the quality is not ceremonial and I don’t think it came from a high grade green tea leaves or if the quality just got damaged from heat

Great Matcha!!!
I was looking for a good matcha powder because the ones on other places were extremely expensive because they were ceremonial grade(first harvest) but this one was the more budget friendly and overall tastes amazing!! It’s super bright green and the smell is mellow and sweet! Overall 10/10 will buy again!!
