Great investment!
I have been searching for this shoe for ages! I've always had problem feet, and until recently (last year) I encountered some serious back problems (twisted spinal cord, major ouch!) I bought so many different types of shoes that wouldn't kill my back or feet; flats, flats with padding, special shock absorption, and the "comfort plus" from predictions, a Payless brand. I spent 35 dollars on the comfort plus's which promises comfort...but they were just terrible. I could only wear them once or twice a week, they just hurt my feet. They were so uncomfortable. They were made of this hard faux-leather material that just rubbed against all areas of your feet. It sucked because I work at a college and we need to dress nicely, so I can't always wear my sneakers. I finally found these crocs, and though I've only been wearing them for a day I can tell that this will be a long-term relationship. They're decently priced, light and cushy, super super cute, you could wear them with jeans, skirts, and dresses. Another issue I've always had with my feet too is that my right foot is slightly larger than my left. Where my left is more comfortable in an 8 and my right in an 8 1/2, I've ALWAYS had an impossible time finding the right shoe. Usually the only shoes that worked were the sneakers. I was afraid of ordering these because people said they run slightly larger or smaller. Well, I'm usually an 8 1/2 and these shoes fit really well. I ordered the size 8, which are probably closer to an 8 1/2 in other brands. The tag on the shoes said 8w, so maybe they're wide and that's why they're fitting well (but my feet aren't wide, they're skin and bone), but the point is is that they are beautiful and they are working. I also ordered crocs' suede flats and riders boots, and those are just gorgeous too! And they both fit well, and there's room to wear socks...again maybe cause they're 8w. Well, I love my crocs, they've just earned a loyal customer :)

Great for travel
After a fairly disastrous trip to Paris with not-great shoes, I needed to find a pair of shoes to wear when I sightsee. The shoes needed to be cute, need to be actual shoes (not sandals), able to be dressed up or down, and wearable for many many miles over uneven surfaces/concrete. After reading reviews online, I bought a pair of these to try. I tested these during a very hot 9-hour day of sightseeing. I walked more than 8 miles in these shoes without any pain or blisters. Because they are stretchy, plasticy stuff, they did not hurt or bind when my feet started to swell. I have high arches, and the shoes don't have great arch support, but still-no problem. I wore them without socks or tights, and the shoes did rub a little tiny bit on the inside of my arch. They also made my feet SO sweaty--but again, no socks or tights. Overall, these are great and I would recommend them.UPDATE: These are some of the best travel shoes I've ever owned and I love them even more now than when I originally reviewed them. They are so versatile and comfortable--if you don't mind the foot sweat, you can wear these all day--dressed up or down. I just got back from a trip to Brazil and I was SO happy to have these little plastic shoes. I got soaked when I went to Iguassu Falls. But they were great and they dried really quickly. They are also fantastic for walking over uneven surfaces, like cobblestone or brick streets. You can even wear them to climb over rocks and boulders, if you are so inclined. So fantastic. I am probably going to buy them in more colors.

It's true...this shoe runs large (my two cents)
I suffer from plantar fasciitis. In addition, I work at a university where I have to do a lot of walking, so I was looking for a cute shoe that I could wear with slacks and casual dresses. After a few tweaks, I would say that I really like this shoe. The Fit:Yes, this shoe runs large. However, if you are a true whole size, get the whole size. I normally wear a 9, but because of the reviews, I bought an 8. An 8 was too small. So, I returned the shoe for a size 9.As far as the fit, these shoes run large, but there are things you can do to make them fit better.1) Shrink the shoeThere is an e-how article that tells you how to shrink your croc shoes using the dryer on low heat with wet towels for 3-5 minutes. I tried this method and I believe that it helped. PLEASE BE CAREFUL if you go this route. Be cautious and keep on eye on your shoes, so they don't get ruined.2) Use heel grippersI find these help to keep my heels secure.Non-Breathable Material:Another issue that I saw in the reviews was that these shoes will make you sweat. I haven't had that issue, because I wear socks.I wear ped socks that are made for dress shoes. (I wear these with all of my dress shoes.) They don't look weird with the shoes and they keep my feet dry. So, I haven't had any smell/sweaty issues.Overall, it may seem like a lot of work to make the shoes fit. But, I think it's worth it. They feel great on my feet and they look cute too.
