Basic, Yes. But does the job. I have very long and full locks and always struggled to find the perfect size to cover my hair very well and keep for getting wet... this did it! I use it AT LEAST once a day 7 days a week. I've had it since January and have only just purchased another one. It's only normal that it looses elasticity after some use but i'd say 9-10 months with very regular use is good value.

All my hair fits in this cap, finally! The caps you generally find in supermarkets are smaller and half of the hair ended up wet. So after many years of having half wet hair after a quick shower, this is a true revelation!

Bought this to protect my box braids which are just above waist-length so I could stop faffing around with plastic bags. Fits perfectly and completely covers my head! Total bonus is that I know it will protect my natural hair once I take the braids down.Not sure if this would work for jumbo braids, but I would expect safe coverage for most other protective styles and definitely bigger natural hair.

When I first got this it was perfect. It was large, kept water out and was super easy to clean but after about a month and used for total of four times, the vinyl started to pull away from the eleastic band. Not the best quality especially for the price.

Does it look and feel like a garbage bag? YES.Does it have a funky smell immediately after removing it from the packaging? YES.But does it get the job done and I love it anyway? YES!!!I recently got booty long, medium sized box braids for the first time. It was a struggle to find hair ties that fit, let alone a whole shower cap. This is the only cap that has done the job for me; everything fit nice and neat with room to spare. The smell fades in a day or two, so don't be too worried about that. I wasn't fussed about aesthetics, either, but thats a personal preference. I definitely recommend to everyone with big hair!

The quality may be less than 5 stars but it keeps your hair dry, fits a big head with a lot of hair with out squashing it and lasts for ever. What more could you want for the money? 👍🏻

Smells disgusting and feels and lools like a bin bag tacky

This is a lovely product. I must honestly say that this one is the best that I have ever used. It sticks well and doesn't peel off. Like many others, I read reviews before I buy on amazon. I can honestly say that you will not be disappointed with this one!
