TimexMen's Marathon by Timex 46 mm Digital Watch

I'm so pleased with this watch! After having it sitting in my wish list for ages, I'm so glad I finally took the plunge! This watch is simply beautiful! It's a large chunky watch with a big face and the numbers and dates are so easy to read! I was concerned with easy read clarity as my eyesight is not the best and I needed a watch that I could read all the info I needed all in one quick glance without any glasses! The numbers are clear and stunning! The main time numbers are indeed 1 cm high by 5 millimetres in width! Truly easy and clear to read! But again not overwhelming! From a distance of approximately two (2) feet 24 " inches on my wrist I can see the time and date as clear as day! The indiglo light is also clear but not too intrusive! The picture actually does not do this watch justice because when you actually see the watch itself it really is striking! This watch is a great deal for the price! It is a really beautiful and functional time piece! If you were like me and lurking debating whether to get this watch! Do yourself a favour and buy it now before they are no longer available!! So treat yourself and get this great watch at a great price! Happy Days!!

If you are looking for a classy-looking sports watch from Timex's Marathon range, I cannot recommend this highly enough. It's a superb looking watch, with all the usual basic functions you would expect. It is really nicely designed the the crystal is a clear, shiny, high-quality face that looks like it belongs on a more expensive watch. I wanted something that's easily readable, with and without glasses, and with a bright light too. It meets all of this effortlessly. It also looks smart and not remotely cheap. Overall, I haven't been as happy with an everyday workhorse of a watch since my original Clinton-era Ironman models! Go ahead and purchase I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Nice looking watch that does what I want re stop watch and count down facility.Very good price and delivered promptly by the seller. May be coming to the end of its production as first seller chosen was unable to supply or source more in which case get one before they are gone!One year or so on and I still think this is a good watch and excellent value for money HOWEVER I have just replaced it (with another exactly the same) because the strap has split which is clearly a common problem. It was going to cost the same to replace the strap and put a new battery in as it cost to buy a new one, which naturally is what I did.Edit July 2017 - I have just had my 3rd Timex Marathon watch become jnk as a result of the RUBBISH resin watch strap. This one lasted longest as I never took the watch off in over 18 months - the flexing of the strap when taking off / putting on weakens it super quick. I have really liked this watch - my first is still running in a cupboard after 3 years or more but I have now decided that I the strap makes it a waste of resources as I cannot bear to throw watches away because the cost of replacing straps is higher than replacing the watch itself. I have bought a replacement Citizen watch with a metal strap.Come on Timex sort these crap straps out!!!

The watch has a clear display. The wrist band is comfortable and flexible. It feels a bit thinner than my last watch and so I wonder how long it will last. My last watch was a different version of Timex Marathon and when the strap broke I discovered that I couldn't find a replacement strap. I suspect this will be the limiting factor on the useful life of this watch tooI only gave 3 stars for timer functions because to my surprise this watch does not have a time to run function.I have not tested the waterproof function yet.Delivery was prompt and the price was fair.

Amazon was the best price for this watch. I wanted a sports watch with a large clear display for running and this is perfect. The Indiglo backlight is superb even in the darkest of situations.This watch looks very smart, is a good size and very lightweight, so no bother to wear. The quality is very good, especially at this price and early indications are that it will prove durable.It was delivered within 3 days of order.

Unfortunately the LCD screen on this watch failed within 12 weeks of purchase which was extremely disappointing as it was a Christmas present for my son. Timex have been impossible to communicate with through the international warranty email & the UK service centre tel. number has a voicemail advising that they are not undertaking anything presently due to the pandemic. Given the short time before this watch failed and the relatively low cost, I would have thought that my request for a replacement or refund was more than easy to deal with promptly. Very disappointed with this purchase & service from Timex, which is real shame as I have used Timex for sports for over 35 years.

This is the red version of this watch. There is a yellow version also which I bought some time ago. I bought it because it is fullsize and larger than my smaller, older Timex ironman. Also I wanted a bigger watch face. I was dissappointed with the yellow version only because the face is quite dark (during the day) and I find the time is not easy to read. The back face of the iron man is much brighter and the time stands out much better. The advertising photos for the red and yellow versions of these watches definitely shows that the red version is brighter (similar to the ironman) so after buying the yellow version and being dissapointed I bought the red version. Unfortunately there is no difference with the colour of the backface and this red one is as bad as the yellow one to read. That's my main gripe. I also think that the face is too cluttered and does too many things. I am still looking for the perfect, not too expensive watch! (although this one is well made). If I had been able to compare them side by side in a shop I would not have bought two. I will probably give this one away as a present.

Great, reasonably priced watch. Had one before which lasted many years. Does what it says on the tin. This is the replacement.
