Liberta UK Explorer Double Rodent Cage, Large

Bought this as a gift for someone who has 3 pet rats. It was a little difficult to assemble but other than that he was very happy with it.

It was hard to fit together a nightmare took several hours with 2 of us as the screws wouldnt fit in place at all, things came bent, it was the wrong edition to what there advertising I wanted edition 1 not 2.. amazon REFUSED a refund and expected me to fight with the sellers.. who refused to refund and asked if I would let them pick it up instead even though I needed to keep my new animals housed at this point. I had photo evidence of the damage and defects of the item and expected compensating.. it's wrong. Be careful buying things from amazon marketplace amazon dont care when something goes wrong especially when it's expensive. There was a big list of things wrong and evidence too much to write here.

For starters it's a great sized cage, absolutely huge! And it is super sturdy so there won't be any escapes once I've moved my monster ratties into it, the only reason I give it a three is because it was a pain in the neck to put up, instructions are rubbish and the cage is heavy and godly to put up, also the people who made it forgot to drill holes in the metal for some prongs to fit into, so we had to hammer it into place and now it looks slightly wonky. Also I found that the roof was hard to put on.Liberta, please make your cages easier to assemble.Great saint and sturdiness though!!!

This is a fantastic sized rodent cage. We only have two rats so its huge for them. They have a great time running up and down the ladders from floor to shelf. The bases are a good depth but our ratties still manage to chuck the bedding out. We use Fitch bedding in it as its nice and soft for their feet. The downsides of this cage is that it is difficult to attach a water bottle as the the bar 'dividers' are so far apart and the bars are all vertical. Our girls have to stand on their hind legs to reach their water, which they do manage despite still being very small so it is do-able but not great. People moan about the bases rusting but I have just lined the bases with clear film covering that comes on a roll and has a sticky backing. Another downside is that it is difficult to hang hammocks on the bottom floor as the upper base doesn't have bars under it. The top cage doors are slightly out of alignment which means its tricky closing the door but sure we can fix that.We are going to put wood on the base bars under the cage to make a shelf to keep the food - this item would have earned the 5 stars had the makers added this feature in - after all - it is a nearly £200 cage!

bought about a year ago and was great at first, but now its starting to rust.Having to buy a new cage soon.

I was a bit apprehensive about buying this because I originally wanted a critter nation but didn’t want to spend £300+Wow! This cage is definitely an amazing substitute if you want to save your money and have a huge cage! It was so easy to assemble, easy access to the inside of the cage so it’s easy to clean. I love it! Perfect for my 5 male rats

Bought the liberta explorer 2nd edition last August for 2 rats from a local pet shop. Unfortunately less than a year on and it's rusting in a few places, top and bottom shelves and the two big trays.

Very good product. Larger than expected. Heavy and really requires two people to assemble. Instructions are a little hard to follow. Overall very pleased.
