FluvalEdge II Gravel Cleaner

One of the easiest manual use gravel vacs to start. Some siphoning can be really hard to get going, this almost starts itself and that's without sucking the hose!My only bit of insight to give you would be if you have a large tank this is not suitible as you will find the flow rate to be far too slow. Ideal for smaller tanks.

Good product, only downside is hose that comes with it is short as its just over a meter in lenght. Siphon start was quite easy and the flow rate is not to fast so you have enough time to siphon the gravel. I'm not sure how it would perform in the sand but the suction is quite strong because the tube is very narrow and it could suck up the sand.If you prefer more time and slower flow rate than you can buy this product but if you prefer faster flow rate than I would suggest to go with marina gravel siphon.

It’s long ( I can reach the bottom of my fluval edge 46l) and have great potential but it as a very bad design from the tube to the pipe connection, and it’s get twisted all the time, you have to put pression with your finger, otherwise it’s won’t work

Worst gravel cleaner out there, cumbersome, difficult to use.

Bought this for my fluval edge tank (23l) to see if it was better than just a cheap standard one. It's a good quality build, but have found the suction to be quite slow and not quite as good at cleaning the gravel as some of the cheaper ones I have used in the past. It is easier just to suck the tube to get started rather than pumping action which has to be quite vigorous to get it started. Good product, but not the best.

The soft rubber hose bends at the top stopping suction, the hose is too short and pulls easily out of the bucket. The priming movement does not work and the extension piece falls off easily.

Very pleased with this cleaner even though I can't master starting it by hand! I have been suck starting which is easy enough. I have a sand substrate and very little gets removed which is amazing as there is enough power to suck up the detritus.

so pleased with this gravel cleaner , the price was great as its a much bigger one than i have it hasnt beeh used yet i have bought this for my son as we have bought him and his girl friend a fish tank for christmas, so im hoping it wont be too big for their small tank,
